Vehicle Detail

Thank you for reading. For sale is a very rare 1984 Krauser BMW K100. It shows 10977 miles on the clock and the condition of radiator, front forks, foot rests, and brake paddle support that it should be the original mileage. The bike comes with a signed Bill of Sale ONLY. State of Connecticut does NOT issue title for any vehicle of this age. Ebay doesn't give this option of NO title. This unique BMW started life as a 1984 BMW K100. According to BMW archive, VIN# WB1051109F0030268 is a BMW K 100 US (authority version) which was manufactured in between July 11th, 1984 - August 15th, 1984. It was delivered to BMW of North America in Polaris metallic, paint code: 576 This early K100 is equipped with a full Krauser fiberglass fairing which was an expensive upgrade back in 80's. The fairing is supported by a frame mounted bracket which also supports the round headlight and instrument, and a more aerodynamic front fender was added to complete the whole package. The fairing is solid, but the paint isn't perfect. Please see the link for more photos in details. It is unknown if the engine had any upgrade with Krauser treatment. However, I can tell you that this K bike has endless smooth power. This K100 was parked in an enclosed garage for few years before I brought it home along with another BMW motorcycle as a package deal. Initially, I planed to restore this K100 as my modern daily rider to keep up with friends in group rides. I have gone through the whole bike to ensure safety and road worth. The services were as followed, A brand new set (both front and rear) of sport touring tires were mounted and balanced. Front brake master cylinder was cleaned and rebuilt. Front brake fluid replaced. Front brake pads were inspected/cleaned. Rear brake fluid and reservoir tank were replaced. Rear brake pads were inspected/cleaned. Gas tank was sealed with Red-Kote from the inside. NEW fuel pump (pricey) was installed. Engine fluid, Transmission fluid, Final drive fluid, and coolant were replaced.Spark plugs were replaced. Fuel injectors were cleaned. Fuel injectors gaskets were replaced. New fuel lines were replaced. Couple vacuum tubes were replaced. Throttle bodies were balanced. Both ECU (ignition and fuel injector) pins were cleaned and a thin layer of anti-corrosion was applied. Air filter was inspected/cleaned. Air flow meter was cleaned/oiled. New battery was installed. All nuts and bolts were torqued. All lights were checked. It is 33 years old bike, 7.5/10 cosmetically and 10/10 mechanically. This link provides you 100+ more photos of this motorcycle in detail. Please let me know if you have trouble viewing it or you had any more questions. www.snapfish.com/photo-gift/share?via=link&token=u1cJh81lTvgMEifY2Gjnsg/AUS/27946388888070/SNAPFISH After I put some miles on this Krauser K100, I instantly learned few things from it. 1) The fairing works really well. The bike was very stable on the high speed. The front wind lands right on my helmet visor. 2) The engine sounds like an electric power drill and delivers power like an electric motor. It is quite, smooth, and has endless torque. 3) The arrangement between the KS handlebar and Corbin seat makes it a very comfortable bike to ride. 3) I have to give up this bike due to the seat height. The wide Corbin seat isn't helping my situation neither. My lost is your gain. The bike comes with two keys. Sale is "AS IS". Everything works with this motorcycle and it needs NOTHING but a new owner. If you like adventure, I can pick you up at BDL airport. I will assist with shipping.
