1971 DATSUN 240Z (Automatic) This is a non-running project car, so please read all the details below. THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD “AS IS”. ALL SALES FINAL. DETAILS: This original 240Z is equipped with an automatic transmission and dealer installed bumper override. This was originally a California car and now resides in the St. Louis MO area. ENGINE: The vehicle has trouble starting, so the engine will need a complete tune-up, but we do not feel that it needs to be overhauled. MECHANICAL: A new battery was installed a year ago. The suspension bushings will need to be replaced. And the brake system may need to be flushed and the pads replaced. INTERIOR: The dash has cracks, as almost all 240Zs have. The center console will need to be replaced. The door cards (skins) need to be replaced. Part of the passenger seat belt may be missing. EXTERIOR: The overall condition of the body and chrome is good for a 46-yr old car. There appears to be slight rust in the hatch area of this car. The bumper will need to be reattached. We will ship this with the vehicle. PAINT: The factory color is unknown, but we were informed that it was originally one of the Datsun 240Z blues. The previous owner painted the car a beautiful royal blue with white stripes. TIRES: The tires are old and might leak slightly, so they should be replaced by the next owner. MOST of the parts on this car can be replaced by purchasing from online Z stores. PAYMENT: A non-refundable $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of the close of this auction. The balance of the final payment is due within 3 days to give you enough time to make arrangements with your bank or other lender. PICK UP / SHIPPING: Contrary to what eBay displays for shipping description, we will only ship this vehicle within the USA or Canada. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping arrangements. We will be available when the vehicle is picked up by the carrier of your choice.
