1916 Ford Model T Roadster This Model T appears to be complete and untouched, and everything about this car seems to be correct. I think somewhere along the line it belonged to a Ford dealer because of the faint lettering on the running board apron that reads “Ford Mercury Zephyr” on the bottom. I’m assuming that’s probably how the car survived so well over the last 101 years. The paint and interior appear to be original, although the top looks like it has been replaced. There are no signs of rust anywhere. After getting this car out of long term storage, we noticed that the gas tank was extra clean along with the carburetors and lines. We cleaned the spark plugs, cleaned the points on the coil, energized the coils with an auxiliary battery, and gave it a couple cranks (it doesn’t have a starter). It started right up on the second crank. Then I let the car warm up and took it for a ride.
