Vehicle Detail
This is a HARD TO FIND 4X4 TRUCK WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. A real truck. This truck has taken me all over the country, and has 203,783 miles on it (mileage may go up during the course of this auction). The 4-wheel drive works great, the air conditioning blows cold, and the truck has never let me down or left me stranded. It does show its age, as you can see in the pictures, and there's plenty of rust. The latch on the tailgate came loose a few months ago, and I haven't been able to open the tailgate since then. The check engine light has literally been on for the entire life of the truck--several Nissan dealers have diagnosed this as a glitch in the truck's central computer. It doesn't affect driving, but it has made it difficult to get emissions inspections since moving to St. Louis. The truck has current safety and emissions inspections, but I can't guarantee it'll pass emissions again, so if you live in a county that requires inspections, please keep this in mind before bidding. I just this week spent $900 having a mechanic install a new power steering pump and A/C compressor. It's got an aftermarket bluetooth stereo so you can listen to your phone's music through the truck's speakers. It's also got a satellite radio receiver that can be activated if you'd like (I deactivated the satellite radio when I installed the bluetooth stereo). The truck gets maybe 19-20 mpg...when it was newer it was getting 21 mpg, but I haven't done the math for a while because there's a small leak in the top of the gas tank so I try not to top it off anymore. The headliner came loose as they are prone to do in older cars. There is an aftermarket headliner available for this truck, but for now I've just got some safety pins holding it up (see picture). The truck has an aftermarket tow hitch installed. It has two jump seats back in the extended cab, so technically it's a 4-seat truck...but the jump seats are small and I've used them a handful of times. It also has a bed cover that's only a couple years old. The windows have rain guards and there's a nice looking bug deflector on the front of the hood. The rear window is sliding, so you can open it up for ventilation. It's a joy to drive and I love puttering around town or running errands to nearby towns in it. It's hard to sell this truck after driving it for the last 17 years, but I have a long commute and decided to get something a bit newer. I've loved this truck so much, I'm replacing it with another Nissan Frontier. It's being sold as-is. If you'd like to see it in person before bidding, let me know. I reserve the right to reject bids from people without adequate bidding history or with too many negative reviews. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU'RE WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING BUYING THE TRUCK, RATHER THAN SPENDING A LOT OF YOUR TIME, ENERGY, AND MONEY TO SHIP A RUSTY TRUCK WITH OVER 200,000 MILES.
