This is a 1959 AMC Rambler American Super. It is a 2 door sedan, car had AC as original option, but does not now. Borg-warner 2 speed automatic with overdrive that shifts perfectly. Original engine, but the cylinder head is from a 55 Nash. 2 single barrel carburetors, carter YF series. Fuel gauge does not work, but speedometer and odometer do. The odometer recently rolled over, so the mileage should be over 100,000. Headlights, tail lights, reverse lights, turn signals and interior lights all work. Brand new aluminum radiator.New fuel pump, new oil pump, new thermostat. Carburetors rebuilt. Starter and generator have both been completely rebuilt. Hairline crack in the head along the thermostat housing. Outer body and frame are in good shape but floor is totally rusted out. The trunk has no rust.Battery shown in photos is not included. I will include a new battery. I have the original grill, but it is not installed. Will include the Rambler American 1958 Technical Service Manual for FREEContinental kit and air-conditioning for a very rare combination, especially on a car that is not a wagon.
