This Eurovan Camper is in excellent condition, engine running smoothly, new OEM VW transmission with only 5K miles on it (warranty still applies), meticulously maintained and seviced by authorized VW Specialty-Repair shop in Reno. Among taking wonderful care of the needs of our vehicle, they installed extra lifters on front and rear to stabilize the vehicle in extreme situations (no nose dive, breaking out when swerving etc). However, we are getting into the age where a bit more space is needed. The Camper comes with 4 studded snow tires on original VW rims. Gowesty, a shop in LA, who specializes in selling only VW Campers, regularly sells the 2001 Campers for 50-60K plus. Upon successful winning bid a deposit of $2000 is due within 48 hours and the balance is due within 7 days. If you like to pick up the vehicle earlier than the 7 days, then the balance would be due at pick-up. The vehicle never was in an accident, non-smoker, pet free. I apologize for the reflections in some of the pictures. This camper is ready to roll and take you anywhere. CarMax gave the Camper a clean bill of health in and out. Ask me any questions. All 2001-2003 Eurovan Campers are very similar. The van is equipped with an automatic transmission, 2.8 liter VR6 engine, air bags on both the driver and passenger sides. They were only offered in white, and came equipped with power windows, power door locks, air conditioning, and cruise control. The camper equipment was all pretty much identical, with some minor refinements here and there. EuroVan’s engine was substantially revised and gained 61 horsepower. Antiskid system and rear child-seat anchors were also added in the models 2001 and up. VW added a more powerful 201-horsepower 2.8-liter VR-6 engine, mated to a standard four-speed automatic transmission. A more advanced drive-by-wire system with multiple coil ignition was utilized on the 2001-03 models. This drive-by-wire system included a more advanced version of ABS, which includes stability control. This system is hands-down more reliable and more advanced than the 1997-2000 system. This was a real improvement, and it is not something that can be adapted to fit the earlier models. The engine has a 2.8 liter displacement. The number of valves increased from 12 to 24, and variable valve timing was introduced. Horsepower jumped from about 140 to 200, torque increased from 180 to 188. In addition, Volkswagen says EuroVan is the only van - mini or maxi - to offer a standard electronic stability- and traction-control system that can keep a driver from swerving out of control in an emergency situation. Four-wheel anti-lock brakes are also standard on EuroVan. EuroVan provides excellent road visibility, with a high driver's seating position more like an SUV than a typical minivan. The combination of a fully independent front suspension and front-wheel drive make the EuroVan feel quite responsive when it comes to parking and maneuvering on the highway.
