Vehicle Detail

1967 Pontiac GTO, #'s matching born with YS code 400 engine and 400 trans. Car has had one older repaint in the original Burgundy with the original parchment interior that is in really nice shape. The car is super solid. Perfect frame, all original floor pans and trunk pan. Runs and drives great! Engine compartment unrestored with original fluted air cleaner. Short block has never been out of the car. Heads had a valve job 15 years ago and someone got excited with some Chevy Orange spray paint on the original heads. Carb is incorrect for the car. Original A/C car, everything is there for the A/C, aside from the belt and one hose. . It has nice options, such as factory power brakes, power steering, A/C and a vinyl top. Top is in great shape and the bumpers are very nice as well. Spot welds are evident in bottoms of quarter panels. Pinch weld at bottom of rockers is not blistered or swollen. Door skin to frame folds are clear and well defined, no disappearing door skins at the bottom of the doors. All jambs are original paint. Date codes are clear on the quarter panels in the top corners near the sail panel. Core support is very solid. Frame is rot free, and not thin at the rear frame horns. Good solid ole GTO. Car is not perfect, with some touch ups in the paint here and there on older paint. needs wood grain for center console, dash and dash pad is very nice. Factory remote mirror car, remote mirror was replaced with a non remote mirror and needs to be changed back to the original style. Just a nice "not perfect" driver that is ready to drive and enjoy. I had a packet with the PHS and protecoplate at one point, got to locate them, no promises though. Spend $500 on some minors on this car and have a nice local show car. If I were keeping the car, I would get rid of the ancillary gauges, spruce up the engine compartment, get a set of Rally II's, some front wheel weld moldings, cut and buff the car...spend $100 on the wood grain and have a very nice car. However, this car is part of a estate and it's best we sell the car. Questions or concerns: Call me at 630 425 8567 for more information and additional pictures
