Vehicle Detail
Please excuse the rambling, this car is special to me, hence the story. This is my first new car and my first sports car, half and half deal with my parents. Before I knew the accessibility of track days and autocross, I would run this thing on and off highway ramps. Eventually that'll catch up to you, when she was 8000 miles old I ran into an exit ramp that had a construction truck stop adjacent to it, which means a shit ton of gravel on the road. Thanks to the perfectly placed gravel on the road, along with too much speed, inexperience and teenage lust, I put her off into some nicely placed bushes. Thankful, there was no mechanical damage, only cosmetic damage to the driver side fender, door and lower quarter panel. The damage was scratches for the fender and door, where the quater pannel has a dent on the lower side of the door, along with scratches. I foolishly enough took it to an inexpeirneced body shop owned by this guy named Charles , my father knew who he was, but didn't know his work, nor did I. As it turns, they weren't that great of a body shop and he was a bit of a malaka. I get the car back and it looks great; of course it looks great when you don't know much about cars or paint. As time goes on, I realize that they didn't repair the lower driver side quarter panel as great as I once thought, so now the car has one part of it that doesn't look as great as the rest. The paint job is on the lower quarter panel, right before the door. I can't really pick it up in pictures, my friends think I'm insane, but I know the job could of been better. Charles isn't in the body shop business anymore. A note on the Carfax report, the police report states I hit a tree, this is misinterpretation, I didn't not a hit a tree, I hit a row of bushes. The police officer was in a pretty shit mood, so I don't blame him for the description or the ticket he wrote me afterwards. I don't think I would alive to write this if I hit a tree, officer. After that ordeal, I deiced that it was time to grow up and pursue driving events. At this point the car was stock, but when the Auto-x and track days started rolling, it didn't stay that way for long. I'm a very precautionary type of person when it comes to cars, I like to catch things before they break. The car has a Racer X oil cooler and Stark transmission cooler to keep everything cooled. I like my car to sound mean, so I can race minivans and Honda CRV's, so there is a FT86 Speedfactory Catted UEL header, JDL Ultra Quiet Front Pipe so I don't go deaf during my road trips and lastly an ARK DTS catback so all the kids think I'm cool. I also have a an Openflash tablet with an offshelf tune to make the most of the modifications, that of course comes with the car. Now I could talk all day about the modification, why I did that and this...blah blah, but I'll just make a list. My B.S. is in Mechatronics Engineering, as a result of that, everything I've changed on the car has been changed for a good reason. A note on the mileage. I commute 60 miles every day to school, five days a week. My girlfriend lives in Ohio, so add that 900 mile trip every month. I put a lot of miles on this car, but it's all highway miles, she eats up the I-80 a lot. I drove this car from New York to Washington state, then looped around the whole country. Currently there are no issues with the car, the track pads I was running were practically done after last month's session, I just put a set of Centric street pads, along with new Centric front rotors. The car is ready to go to the track, but you'll need track pads. I have a rear set of fresh Winmax W4's, but you'll need the fronts. I also have a lot of OEM parts for this car, the struts/shocks, springs and rear LCA's, these will all come with the car. The car has some sort of clunk on the driver side rear, now I can't figure out what it is, neither can any of the shops I've been to. It's not related to the suspension because the struts, spring and LCA, and rear sway bar endlinks have all been changed, I'm guessing it could be exhaust or something else. It only clunks on certain bumps, it's a tricky bastard. The car has been serviced by AZP Installs, so they know this car very well. All oil changed have been done by me and I kept a record of all the times I've changed, the transmission/diff fluid has been changed twice as well. I'm going to add the previous Blackstone lab report to the pictures, I also have a few oil analysis and some paper history that you'll get in a neat folder. The car passes New York inspection with the headers. In terms of paint, it's pretty good, the front bumper has your typical rock chips and road rash, there are some small dings and scratches throughout the car, all the common stuff for 100k miles. I did paint correction two years ago, so the paint is pretty well maintained. I always use Ammo Skin to keep it fresh. The car is located in Seaford, New York if you'd like to come by and see it. The price is negotiable, but it's more negotiable in person. If you're interested in shipping, contact me.
