Vehicle Detail
You don't want this bike. Trust me, you'd be better off spending $25,000+ on one of the completely restored /2's currently on ebay. Never mind that this bike has matching numbers, fires right up, runs strong, goes through all the gears without issue, has fully finctional electronics, and has a nice clean title, the fact of the matter is its got bad paint and dings and scratches all over (other than the tank). The owner will try to tell you that it has really cool "patina" which is a sales word for it looks crappy. You don't want to fork over this much money for a bike that looks like that, right? It's got the wrong pipes, the wrong grips, the wrong battery, a funky taillight which may or may not be original... seriously this thing looks all of its 50 years, despite the fact that it rolls down the road as well as it ever did. It's got minimal maintenance records and who knows if the odometer is right or when the slingers were last cleaned. The only thing this bike is good for is restoration, customization or enjoying it as is, and you don't want to do any of that. On top of it all, the owner wants almost $8k firm! Good luck, right? Hopefully, at this point you've moved on. But if not, fine. Go ahead and call the idiot selling this bike. Don't say I didn't warn you. It's not like these /2 bikes are going up in value every single year.......right? r60 r69 r50/2 r60/2 r69/2 slash 2 vintage bmw
