I am the original owner of this truck. Never plowed with it, just used it for gardening purposes. It has high mileage because my husband use to drive it on the highway out to PA to visit his Mother. I am selling as parts even though it STILL RUNS fine and has some nice tires. The reason is that it failed the last inspection because it needs ball joints plus has some rot near the driver and passenger doors. Today I had the truck checked and it has been confirmed that it needs work. Since I am a home owner and cannot fix it myself, they said it would cost about $2,000.-$2,500. to fix it but if you are a mechanic, it would cost you WAY LESS because you would not have to pay for labor, just the parts! It also needs body work and I got a quote from Maaco for $800. per side to fix the rotted rocker panels. I was planning to sell this truck anyway so I decided not to fix. Still and all, I am selling as parts because what if something else is wrong that I am not aware of and I do not want anyone upset with me later. Here is what I know for sure : Needs body work. Needs ball joints. Needs U-joint. Needs Leaf Spring. I think the air conditioner needs to be serviced Maybe you like fixing things and making them new again. The tires are fairly new and in good condition. Nice bed liner too! The color back in 1997 was called radiant red. I sure hope someone can make good use of it. I spent a lot on it with other new parts. It just has been sitting around and used only for gardening purposes but still starts up and still runs fine.
