This is the car that started the "Pony Car Revolution". This car is number 10,065 off the production line in 1964 and was sold the very first week of introduction. Ordered at the New York World's Fair on April 17th, 1964 as gift for the original owners wife, and car has always been garage and pampered. I have a lettered written by the original owner naming some very limited changes he made from factory original. He stated the following; Auxiliary Oil Filter HI-PO exhaust manifolds Glass-Pac Mufflers & Dual exhaust Ford Dealer installed Air Conditioner Tinted Windows Converted to Alternator Quartz clock in Rally-Pac When finally sold in 2005 to 2nd owner, also a Oregon resident, that gentlemen took car and had it stripped down to bare metal and repainted to its Original Raven Black . I have pictures of this work and the car is bare metal. Those pictures show a perfect "original rust free", damage free body. The car retains it's original interior in like new condition, right down to the headliner and carpet. The Rally-Pac, AM radio with push button selection work. This car also has the rare factory reverb for AM radio, see silver box in trunk. The Dealer installed A/C will freeze you out. The trunk of car is as new, with perfect original spare tire, jack and original jute mat. To protect jute mate is an aftermarket plaid rubber mat. The car has new radial tire with original spinner hub caps. they are perfect. Chrome , trim, glass, and weather stripping is all perfect. This is a highly desirable D code Mustang with 289/4 barrel carb and original 4 speed top loader transmission. The motor now has 60,000 original miles. The motor has never been removed from the car. New clutch install in 2016. This car looks, runs, drives like new. I purchased car from second owner who had medical condition that no longer allowed him to drive. I brought the car to Virginia in 2009 and have won many awards in car shows. Have original Owners manual.
