This is a 2001 Acura MDX featuring All Wheel Drive and a 3.5L V6 engine. Taken in on trade in a deal. Interior features an all-leather interior, power options, climate control, AM/FM/CD/Cassette stereo, power moon roof and more. Also features alloy wheels, Yokohama tires, privacy glass among other things. THIS IS BEING SOLD AS A PARTS CAR. YOU ARE NOT TO BE UNDER ANY IMPRESSION THAT THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS RETAIL. Here is the GOOD - All power options seem to work properly, they were all tested on the day pictures were taken which was 4/11/17. A/C blows pretty cool, though we do not know if the charge will last for years, months or days, but the system operates properly. Stereo system works, CD works, cassette is probably working. The interior is still pretty much in tact and in good shape. There are some wear spots and tears (which are pictured) but overall most of it is presentable or reusable. The engine runs strong. We have put about 40 miles on it since taking it in and have experienced no engine-related issues. Cluster gauges work. Moon roof functions properly and does not seem to leak (it has been outside for a few months and not a spot of water has been found.) Here is the BAD - It more than likely needs a new transmission. If this vehicle had less miles, we probably would have bought one and replaced it, but as a retail lot with this amount of miles it is not worth it for us. The transmission gets stuck in first when first setting off and will eventually shift into 2nd/3rd and so on after a minute or so of driving, but it will NOT shift back into first, meaning you are taking off from a dead stop using 2nd gear. It may be possible to rebuild the transmission or it could be something not gear-related affecting it, but we have not invested in the diagnostics and will not do so. Two codes are showing for the CEL, one for 'improper gearing' which is definitely tranny-related, and the other for the Cat, meaning it probably needs a new catalytic converter. It also needs front shocks. The vehicle drives and runs and can be driven with some patience. Doesnt overheat, tires are good, no electrical gremlins. We recommend that you transport the vehicle via trailer or transport service. ***AGAIN, NO WARRANTIES ARE IMPLIED OR EXPRESSED.
