I purchased this car in 2016 as a project and am now selling as I move to my next project. This is an essentially original 43K mile Mustang 5.0L GT 5-speed Convertible in factory Claret Red with Gray plaid cloth and Black vinyl retractable top. Factory A/C. Power windows, locks and top. Remote switches for trunk and gas filler door. The entire car recently (January, 2017) underwent a complete maintenance reconditioning at Village Automotive in Westmont, IL outside of Chicago. At the same time some appropriate upgrades and minor changes were made. This car is accompanied by a Marti report from the prior owner as well as 2 sets of keys, books, paperwork and tools. The car received comprehensive engine-out maintenance updates including new motor mounts, belts, filters, fluids, plugs, etc. All systems, switches and mechanicals function as designed. A/C is fully charged and blows cold. The car also features a new convertible top with the accompanying glass rear window. The interior was steam cleaned and all new carpet was installed. The sound system is a new, modern Sony 4-channel head unit with hands-free Bluetooth, streaming and available SiriusXM. New stereo speakers in all six factory locations have been installed beneath the factory grilles. The car has been updated with a number of new OE and appropriate performance upgrade aftermarket parts:- BBK Cold Air Intake- BBK 70mm Throttle Body- Bassani SS equal length headers- Magnaflow performance exhaust system w/ cat delete- Ford performance clutch- New alternator- New fuel level sending unit- New brakes on all 4 corners- New Shocks/Struts, on all 4 corners- New 3.73 rear end gearing with appropriate speedometer gearing update- New headlight assemblies- New interior carpeting- New seat belts- New Power window and lock switches- New convertible vinyl top- New glass rear window for convertible top- Numerous chassis rubber parts, bushings, etc. replaced Tires are a set of relatively new Uniroyal Tiger Paws in excellent condition. Original factory alloys are in as-new condition with no pitting or curb rash. Car is sold as-is with a clean title. 3rd party inspections are welcome. Please forward me any questions that you might have. This is a honest original car, with a few, selected, appropriate modifications. In the condition that it is in right now, you could absolutely feel confident in driving straight across the country. The car is sharp, torquey, breathes and revs more freely and also has a nice rumble from the Magnaflow SS exhaust system. The car has its original paint, so there is some areas of minor fade and thinness, as you would expect for a car this age. This is a terrific summertime cruiser.
