Vehicle Detail

We are the second owners of this classic. It has been in our family since 1977. The engine was rebuilt at 50k miles at Ray Brown Ford in Ottawa Kansas in 1976. It was also repainted with original colors and Ford paint at that time in the Ford body shop. It has a 3-speed on the column shift. Everything is original condition without any aftermarket modifications. It has been garaged for most of the time my family has owned it. It has new tires and a recent carburetor rebuild. It can be driven home. Two years ago my wife and I moved five hours away from the San Francisco Bay Area to where we currently live in far Northern California. It made the trip in very hot weather without any problems. Since then, I've only driven it to a few local car show events and around town to keep it in good running condition. I decided to sell it because I don't use it as much as I should and it is now in a carport instead of a garage and it needs to live in an enclosed structure. In terms of maintenance and repairs, It has new tires, new fuel filter and the oil was just changed. Five years ago it had the full treatment with brakes gone through, all fluids changed and complete tuneup. This was done at K&L automotive in Rodeo, California by a mechanic that is a wizard with 50's and 60's V8s. I don’t think it has 500 miles since that complete inspection. While it is not show car quality, it is in very good condition and has not been modified from stock. It has two small rust spots on the lower rear quarter panel (one on each side) that were repaired in the 1970's, a shopping cart ding on the right rear quarter and the front seat back is showing wear. The heater core is bypassed and will need to be replaced if you plan to drive it in the winter. I plan on showing the Fairlane at the sale lot at Cool April Nights car show in Redding, CA on Sunday 4/30/17 if the reserve is not met. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
