I am listing this for owner who is moving and must sell all of his antique and classic cars. He originally purchased the car in 1958 and used it for his daily driver and family car. According to my research, only 114,401 were produced and it is still a very desirable car. This Texas car currently has only 78,500 original miles. It runs, drives and stops like a 1953 Bel Air should. The interior is two-tone and appears to have all the correct parts. I believe that the engine is an original Blue Flame (235cid/115hp) based on the labeling as shown in the photos. The owner reports that the brakes, including the master cylinder have all been redone and the electrical system has been converted to 8-volts. The windup clock still works even after almost 65 years! Known issues: the paint is original, but should polish nicely, the radio does not work, the speedometer cable is noisy and the speedometer glass is cracked, it appears that the radiator may need repaired, there are minor dents, rock chips and scratches and it needs a new set of tires. If you are looking for a nice leisurely cruiser, this car may be just the car for you. The car is being sold "AS IS", with no warranty.
