Up for your consideration is a 2002 Ford F250 crew cab with the 7.3 Power stroke Diesel. This truck was bought by us with close to 400,000 miles on it and we just watched it turn 500,000. We used this truck for everyday deliveries and once a week trips from Jacksonville FL to Orlando FL ( Roughly 160 miles one way ) for the past year. In that time we had regular service done meaning oil changes, filters etc... We also had a new water pump installed, 2 new batteries, new lower radiator hose, new overflow tank, Temperature gauge installed, new front rotors, new brakes front and back, new brake lines on the front and the passenger side 4wd lockout replaced. We have always ran Power service diesel supplement and octane boost in every tank of fuel and Lucas injector cleaner once a month. There is a book for the truck, new headlight bulb, bottle of supplement/octane, 1 extra new lockout and extra radiator cap that goes with the truck. TRAILER NOT INCLUDED! Now for the bad.. The instrument cluster went out and it is linked to the power windows, inside dome light and the radio. So until that is fixed it is very inconvenient and a danger in our opinion. On our last trip back from Orlando it did leak some water but did not over heat. It was just a small amount but it has never done that before so I replaced the radiator cap but I recommend a new thermostat or have it looked at before any long distance drives. The drivers door lock needs replaced and the overhead console does not work. It never has since we owned this truck. This was a work truck and used for hauling furniture for deliveries and to pull our 12 ft trailer. It is not a new truck and does need work. We are not mechanics and have tried our best to describe this truck the best that we can. We have replaced this truck for many reasons. First and most important reason is comfort. Although the ford rides good for a 4wd, its not as smooth as the 2wd dodge. Second reason is to go to a gas engine. Diesel is great, but we do not pull a heavy trailer or load and the miles per gallon makes a big difference. Our trailer is light and the 2wd gasser does just fine. Last reason is convenience. The ford has no turning radius, much higher off the ground and is just bigger in every way compared to our new dodge. ********** IMPORTANT PLEASE READ ********** This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied.
