I have for sale a mostly original 1978 VW Beetle Convertible, with 74k original miles on it. It runs and drives. In fact, I daily drove it for a year. It is a rare paint color combination, Baja Blue exterior with cream colored interior. The motor is all original, except the fuel injection system has been swapped out for a carburetor. The body has also been repainted in the original color. The carpet and roof have been replaced. Speaking of which, the roof is fully functional. Besides those few minor things, the entire car is original. The dash, radio, shiftknob, lights, hubcaps, chrome accents, and seats are all original. Some of those parts can be hard to find. It has the spare tire. The radio does not work, but I imagine it could be repaired. All the mechanical parts such as windows, seats, etc. function properly. The electronics can be fickle. The engine has to babied when it is first started up. There is rust on the body. It has one tire that loses air. The battery doesn't hold a charge very well. The battery and tire are good enough to get the car to wherever you live. The car is definitely roadworthy.
