1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4, rare manual transmissionI have extensive dated documentation on repairs, an entire folder. the good:many parts that typically fail have been replacednew clutch,new catalytic converter, really too much to list, everything that has been done to it has corresponding receipts from garages, or receipts from the parts store.the body is in very good shape for the year, as is the paint, it isnt showroom, but its in good to very good cosmetic shape.manual transmission, shifts perfect. heat works greatwipers front and rear fine, brakes stop nice.starts every morning, current ma inspection, 4x4 works fantastic.clean mass title.interior is clean, non smoker, not mint, its used, but perfectly acceptablenever been wheeled or modified, its a stock cherokee, used on asphalt.tires are very good shape all around.unibody is in good shape for a northeastern vehicle, i began coating it with rust bullet and i wash this religiously. the bad:the e brake needs some adjustment it holds but not good, It needs a new sway bar linkage in the front, and the cel is on due to the 02 sensor not being hooked up to the new cat I had installed, it doesnt affect mass inspection so i havent got to it yet.beyond that, you will want to do brake lines at some point in the next year or two.the air conditioning needs a recharge, and the radio works fine but the cassette adapter doesnt seem to be working. the title: the great state of mass in their infinite wisdom, due to age of vehicle would only allow me to register it as "TMU" or true mileage unknown, I purchased it from a seller in new york in 2014, service record documentation bears the real mileage out, which is still a lot at 240k, beyond this, the title is clear, and valid and the mileage is accurate. the apparent:its 20 years old, so it will obviously need some tlc down the line to keep it running tip top, my price reflects this, its "As Is" Im not a garage or a mechanic or a dealer, you can bring a mechanic to look at it, whatever you like.it runs great for its age as it sits, im certain it will need things down the line like anything else. Why am I selling?I am buying a brand new jeep, this is my daily driver, selling it to offset cost of new vehicle.I really like it, and I am certain to a reasonable degree whoever buys it will like it as well. Payment:I will only accept cash for the remainder of the balance, no cashiers checks, no out of state bank checks, I will not release the title/vehicle etc. without payment in full in cash.I strongly prefer to deal with the specific buyer in person.
