Vehicle Detail
I have had this car about 4 years and and haven't really touched it now and almost a year. Recent started the car and it ran rough so I changed out the old Holly 750 for a bran new Edelbrock 700. Changed the plugs but still needs a good tune up to dial it in so currently running really rough. The motor is numbers matching but has been stroked out to a 383 by the previous owner so I don't have the specs but I do know it has a 3500 stall converter to handle the large hydraulic cam and large valve aluminum Edelbrock heads. It has Roller rockers as you can see in the pictures and has a very hard hit to the cam if you listen to the attached video of the motor running. 3 inch headers and true dual exhaust and a huge aluminum radiator. I had the car taken down to the gel coat and all cracks repaired and repainted including door jams and even the center part of the rallies as well. The car was was red on red but is now black on Black with the seats and parts of the still dash red. All the chrome has been power coated black. All the emblems are painted or powder coated red. All the center console and new gauges have been replaced and except for the gas gauge which currently doesn't work. I replaced the cruise control module so now the speedometer works but current mileage is unknown. It has new carpet but still needs to be completely installed in the rear of the car. The seats have had all tears repaired and it has a new dash pad and new wind shield because the old one broke during removal. The rear window was removed and reinstalled with new sealant. New black motor dress up kit. The door locks are currently out of the car and need to be installed as well. A lot of money has been spent on the car by myself and the previous owner. I currently have another project as well and due to resent health issues I need to cut back on car that and my wife says I have too many cars so I am selling the Vette. The Good about this car is 95% of the work is done. Even though it had a recent paint job the quality is not what I would have liked but the body work is perfect. The motor is high performance and needs constant attention adjusting it of which I just dont have the time. The bad is the motor needs to be put on a dyno and tuned in properly. I had the car serviced about year ago and all the leaks fixed and the transmission serviced but now it has a another small drip leak again. All in all I have about 15k in this car including its purchase. Mid 70s Corvettes are not the ones to put a lot of money in because the return is low an excellent condition can bring about 17k but most average is closer to 8k so I don't expect to get my investment back so my loss will be someones gain. The car is for sale with no reserve but is also for sale locally so if sold I will end the auction.
