Vehicle Detail

Up for bids is a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible with a 289 two barrel carburetor. Vin numbers on left fender apron and door match. Engine is a 289 ( C6AE )but I don't know if it is original. According to vin it was originally a black car with black top and black interior. I bought this as a long term project for myself and have decided its probably more than an amateur like me can handle. It appears to have been sitting for a long period of time and is in need of a complete restoration. Rusted areas include but are not limited to floor pans, inner rockers, lower firewall, trunk floor, rear frame rails, gas tank, and lower cowl. Engine compartment area seems to be pretty solid. It looks like there is some body filler in fenders and doors. The engine does not run but can be turned with a socket and breaker bar. It WILL need to be rebuilt. Car has no brakes and it looks as if front drums are missing. Tires are good but one rim is rusted and only holds air a couple days. It is equipped with power steering and a power convertible top. I'm sure top motor and cylinders will need replaced along with hoses. I did put a battery in car (not included) and top motor would click when the switch was pressed both up and down. Dash pad is gone. Back seat is missing. Both front seats are not attached to floor. Top is missing, but top frame looks like it could be cleaned up and used. All glass looks good. Again, this in need of a complete restoration. Look over pictures well. There are things missing. I don't have a box of extra parts. What you see in photos is what you will receive, no more, no less. Car needs lots of TLC. The three levels of NADA value of car are 10K, 30K, and 50K, so its definitely worth restoring in the proper hands of a talented individual. $200 nonrefundable Paypal deposit is required at end of auction, with remainder paid by money order, or cash if your picking up in person, within seven days of auctions end. Do not pay full amount into Paypal or buyer will incur extra fees. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup of vehicle. Keep in mind that car will have to be winched up onto trailer as it is not running. Sold as is, no reserve. Car will not leave my possession until all funds have cleared my bank. Thanks for looking.
