Vehicle Detail
This bike came out of Michigan, where it had sat in a garage since 1989, after the top end and crank bearings galled due to lack of 2-stroke oil. Fast forward to this year, the engine received a full restoration. New parts included a reconditioned crank/bearings, crank seals, new Wiseco .060+ piston/rings and wristpin (and all the usual engine goodies and fluids). Oil system was completely and meticulously cleaned, including the oil injection pump.Additional new items include: battery, headlight, air filter, fuel tap seals (petcock seals for those on American soil), fork seals / oil. Tires are in great shape. It starts easily, shifts great through all the gears just fine. Auto-lube system pumps well, although I am presently adding extra oil by running premix to help all the new components seat in. I would recommend another fuel tank or two of 32:1 premix just to help all the new engine components get used to each other. A little hard on spark plugs, but spark plugs are cheap. Again, everything was brought up to original specs, everything works, Bike starts easily and runs great, just like it did 42 years ago. The gas tank is amazingly clean, and yes those are the original Suzuki mirrors. Original owner drove the bike to work, so it has all the needed goodies in that regard. There is a slight dent on the left side of the fuel tank, not noticeable unless you are up close. Light scratch on the plastic front fender. I installed a brass/aluminum odometer reset button, as the original plastic one was missing. Works good. The bike is priced in line with its excellent condition. Ride it in the trails, commute to work, or place it in your personal museum. This bike tends to draw attention! I was tempted to keep this as another source of work transportation, but instead it is here for you. It is a blast to ride, as it is amazingly nimble and light. In comparing the different models of the Suzuki TS line, Wikipedia states: "Possibly the pick of the models was the TS185 which is actually lighter than the 125 by a few lbs (3 kg) and nearly the power of the 250 but with a much more free revving motor." Clear title. This bike is located in northern Indiana. If you would like to inspect this bike personally, you may contact me to set up a time to view it and hear it run. 574-354-8455For long-distance viewers, I have shipped rare motorcycles internationally to UK and Australia in the past with no problems.
