I purchased this bike in May 2012. I rode the bike for about 4000 miles, and then had the engine rebuilt. I have receipts for the parts purchased, and the labor for the rebuild which totaled more than $2500.00 The bike was rebuilt by a professional mechanic who is well known in this area for his excellent work. Basically, almost every seal in this bike was replaced in the overhaul. Clutch was also replaced. Bike received new piston rings, and the cylinders were honed. The speedo and tach were also sent to overseas speedometer for a $ 200 rebuild. New EBC rotors were also purchased for the front brakes. The bike now stops better than when it was new. Starter was also replaced in the last 5000 miles , but this is the one item I did not have a receipt for. Bike runs extremely well, and shifts through the gears like it should. It does not leak oil. Bike has less than 10,000 miles since the rebuild. Note that mileage listed above says 00000. Actual mileage is unknown. Speedometer was broke when I bought the bike. The speedometer read 23,400 when bike was purchased.Cosmetically, the paint is excellent. Bike is all stock with the exception of the windshield. It is approx. 4 inches taller than stock. There is slight damage to the lower left side of the fairing (see photos) It is hardly noticeable , and I don't know what happened. It was like that when I purchased the bike.This is a very reliable, stunning looking bike. I would not be afraid to ride this bike anywhere in the continental United States. I will not ship the bike. It will have to be picked up, and of course, with a 42 year old motorcycle this is no implied or expressed warranty. This bike will not disappoint. Good luck bidding!
