This is a clean rust free Florida Car. It has been up north only 2 months. no rustMechanically the car is excellent.BRAND NEW; 4 new tires, alternator, battery, engine mounts, front axles, brakes, head lights, stereo, and more... I just spent over $1900 on the car. I also had it checked for head gasket issues and coolant leaks. There is no sign of any head gasket issues and some hoses were replaced just as a precaution. There is still the green dye left in the system to determine any leaks that could occur in the future. Timing belt and water pump were replaced 9000 miles ago. The car is clean and runs excellent. There are two very minor issues with the car that I thought I should mention. The hood has a minor paint defect on it in one small spot.. There is one spot on it that looks like the paint ran when it was repainted in 2003. The other is the door locks work but sometimes does not unlock the drivers door. It is an easy fix to a common problem. You will just need to clean the mechanism in the door panel. If I have the time I will try and do it for you. There are no shimmies shakes or rattles on the highway. I bought the car in Florida and had it shipped up to Massachusetts. It was going to be for a family member but they got another car instead. After having my mechanical go through the car and fix anything that was worn and have personally driven the car about 1000 miles, they did not end up needing the car. My loss is your gain. The car gets 45 MPG on the highway. Gas prices are going to be going up soon, so now is the time to buy it.The car has 161k miles but I have seen these cars with well over 350,000 miles. The Volkswagen diesel is one of the best engines made. It is built to last. Within three months gas prices are expected to go up to over $3 per gallon. This car will pay for itself with gas savings. You could drive 500 miles per fill up. That is from Massachusetts to Virginia. It is also a very safe and comfortable car to drive. It feels like a very heavy German engineered vehicle. I have a very low reserve. I also reserve the right to end the listing prior to the end of the sale if I sell it locally or to an ebayer. Don't wait until the very end of the auction.
