Vehicle Detail

Just in time for Christmas. This is a 5 day listing, so this will give you the opportunity to give yourself the Christmas gift that you really want. Thanks for taking the time to view my listing. My 1985 Chevrolet Silverado is literally like family to me. This Silverado is in amazing condition and has had a very good, well kept life. It has just over 65,000 miles on the body and the odometer, for sure, has never rolled over. The engine is a work of art. The Engine Factory custom built this engine from scratch. It is a 383 stroker with all forged internals, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake, and a really nice mild cam. This along with all of the tuning was done by The Engine Factory and almost $9,000 was spent on just the engine alone.....not including the rest of the drivetrain. The truck has only about 2000 miles since the drivetrain was installed. One of my favorite things about this truck is the factory color combo. The color combo you see is the factory original black on silver and it looks very good. The roof was originally silver when new, but during the repaint, the roof was painted black. The paint is very good. It isn't flawless, nor is it superb, but it is very good. There are a few spots that were touched up and there are a couple of very tiny door dings, and some very tiny scuffs here and there. Keep in mind that it is black and black is a very hard color to make perfect. There is a scratch that has been touched up on the drivers side bedside right where it meets the tailgate and there are a couple of marks near the top of the roof that are barely noticeable. These are all very minor and probably aren't even worth mentioning considering the rest of the truck is so incredible, but I wouldn't feel right leaving anything out. Take a look at the little stuff like the original GM dash that doesn't have a single crack in it and the original carpet that isn't torn or old looking. The original cassette/AM/FM radio works perfectly, the gauges are beautiful, and the factory clock still works as it should. This truck has tons of options listed on the build sheet in the glove box including dual tanks (both work perfectly), Silverado equipment group, sliding back glass, and special towing equipment. Below, I'll try to describe the truck as well as I can. Please read the entire listing and look at all of the pictures, so you'll know exactly what you're reviewing. Exterior The exterior is in excellent condition and absolutely rust free. The fenders, hood, doors, bed, and cab are excellent and all original to the truck. This truck has never been in an accident, nor has it ever had any panels replaced. The front bumper has some small imperfections in the chrome, but these are very mild. The grille looks great, but the black in the center is very slightly faded. The paint is very good. There are some swirls, but it looks very slick and clean. The inside of the bed has some indentations, but the bed is very good and certainly doesn't have signs of any hard labor or towing being performed with the truck. There is one 4" gash in the rear band. It doesn't look terrible, but it is there. All of the glass is excellent and there are no rock pecks or cracks in it. I'm probably being a lot harder on it than it actually is. All in all, the body is excellent. Interior The interior is absolutely phenomenal. The carpet is original, the dash is original, the radio, bezel, gauges, door panels, and controls are all original as well. I replaced the gas tank switch, not because it wasn't working, but because it was faded and was showing its age a bit. I replaced it with an original AC Delco switch that was just like the original one. The gauges look great and actually light up and look just as perfect at night too. The under dash metal is all original and looks superb in its original Midnight Black paint. Notice the duct work underneath and the other bits under the dash. They look flawless and practically like new. All of this attests to its low mileage. I ordered the floor mats are from Lloyd Mats and compliment the truck nicely. The seat cover is not the original factory style, but it does look great and doesn't look out of place at all. If you lean the seat forward, you'll see the original cardboard holder in the back and it looks excellent. The sliding back glass works perfectly, but the tab that holds them both together is no longer there. The door panels are nice, but the storage pouch sticks out just a bit. The power windows work great and are faster than any other square body truck I've ever had. The steering wheel is original and super nice. Everything works inside except for cruise control. The A/C and heater controls work great and the a/c system is new. It blows snowballs. I also just had the headliner replaced with factory style cloth, so it looks perfect and matches the rest of the interior perfectly. Drivetrain The drivetrain is where this Silverado really shines. Under the hood you'll find a beautiful 383 stroker that was custom built by The Engine Factory specifically for this Silverado. It was built a little different than their standard 450hp. It has a slightly different carb that allows a little more power on the lower side of the RPM band, so the peak horsepower is a little less than their standard 450 setup. The guys at The Engine Factory stated that it would dyno at around 430hp. Here are the specs minus the carb specs. Over $12,000 was spent on the drivetrain. I also want to mention that the speedometer is about 8mph off. I had a new speedometer gear installed, because with the 4.10 gears, it was way off from the factory differential, so I got the closest gear that my local Chevrolet dealership had in stock. I just want you to be aware of this, because the speedometer reads a faster speed than you're actually going. UnderneathUnderneath, you'll find absolutely zero rust. The bottom side literally looks superb. Take a look at the pics of the bottom of the bed. It looks amazing. There are no engine leaks, no trans leaks, no rearend/differential leaks, and no leaking shocks. There are no negatives at all about the underbody of this truck. Wheels/TiresThe wheels are brand new Moto Metal 16" wheels with Toyo Open Country MT 285/75R16 tires. About $2400 was spent on the wheel and tire package. They have about 500 miles on them and have never been in the mud. Thanks for viewing all of the pictures. I have so much invested in my truck and it has been my baby since I've owned it, but I find myself not using it as I should and I feel like I'm not doing it justice by keeping it. Please take everything into consideration and feel free to ask any questions through eBay or call me on my cell. I do have every intention of selling my Silverado and will consider all reasonable bids and offers. I do have the clean and clear Mississippi title in my safe and it is registered to me. My name is Matt and my cell is 662-416-0900. Of course, there is no warranty and it is being sold as-is. The buyer is responsible for a $500 deposit once we have made a deal and the buyer is responsible for shipping of course. Thanks so much in advance. God bless.
