1974 HONDA Z-50 MINI TRAIL SCOOTERCOMPLETELY GONE THROUGH FROM THE FRAME UP, STRIPPED TO AN EMPTY FRAME (SERIOUSLY, NOT EVEN A BUSHING OR BEARING WAS IN IT) RESTORATION AND UPDATE.... SHE IS A BEAUTY!Looks pretty stock, but she's not! This Z has all the things done to it "for me". I had one of these back when I was a kid (yep, I'll be 70 coming April, 2017) and sure, we'd change jets, screw around with the sprocket sizes, drill out exhaust and so on..... and basically beat the heck out of them. Several years ago I got the change ta pick up this little Z. She was a mess... literally.... a mess....but all there. (When I brought her home.... the misses didn't think I was all there... maybe not) Anyway, this WAS GOING TO BE THE "Z" I always wanted to have my first Z to be....I know... many people are "purests" when it comes ta this stuff... believe me, I am too, with my 1965, red frame, CL77 and my SOHC CB 750 K.... stock ta the bone. So, on with the info on this "Z".... Now, what has been done here: Frame up restoration and upgradesCompletely re-built engine WITH a 70cc barrel, piston, rings and so on... she's a "Z-70" nowCompletely re-built transmission and auto-clutchesNew sprockets and chainNew bearings and bushing throughoutNew springs and hardwareNew brakes, front and rearNew (not stock) fenders to handle the NEW larger tires and chrome wheelsNew (not stock, but quiet) exhaust system... (you may want it louder, but I like ta putt around in the neighborhood and don't want ta p--- the neighbors off)Tank is CLEAN insideNew paint everywhereNew decalsNew chrome everywhereNew seatNew rubber stuffNew fork springs, and rear shocksNew off - on gas capPolished cases,covers and brake hubsHeadlight works VERY WELLNO key ta loose, set it up ta just use the "kill switch"LOOKS original ta most people, BUT SHE'S NOT!!!She is just "one sweet Z" !!! I have adjusted the new clutches to work smoothly and correctly, and chain and jetting so you won't have any issues with screamin' her down the street, she's runnin' GREAT! The oil has been changed twice... don't like anything floatin' around in there, ya never know.... so now ya won't even have ta change the oil when ya get her... just add gas and go and enjoy the ride! There IS a small "chip" (NOT DENT) on the TANK PAINT.... the last picture shows it... the pencil point is right by it, but ya can't hardly see it, but ya gotta know, right? NOTICE... NO TITLE.... I know it says "clear" in the "Title section" but E bay does not give an appropriate option... sooo, "clear" gets marked to continue the listing. Sorry about that.I will give a "Bill of Sale" only... but why would ya need a Title on a Z50 anyway???? I live in California, Z50's aren't "street legal" here anyway... Now... WHY AM I SELLIN' HER...Well, I have done what I always wanted ta do... build the perfect Z for me. I've had her completed several years now and enjoyed the heck out of her, but now someone else can enjoy her. I have 4 other bikes that take my attention and they keep me pretty busy, so this one needs to get a better home. By the way, I am 6' 1" and weight 185 and I fit just fine on this Z, and she pulls GREAT with me on her, beats my buddy on his CT70 hands down!!! Could probably beat his CL90... if it ran...
