Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera, with a GT3 body kit, and just over 57k miles. This vehicle was acquired through a court appointed receivership (similar to a trustee). Although the title is not in our name, we have a court order enabling the Receiver to sign and notarize the title for sale. If you need a copy of the court order or have questions, please let me know. If you are uncomfortable with this, please do not purchase or make offers on the vehicle. I have limited history on the car, but I do know the last two years were spent sitting outside, in a locked tow/wrecker yard. As you can see, some of the body panels, including the body kit, have a slightly different shade or age, than the other ones. I believe some of this to be from sitting in the sun for two years, but there is also some discoloration in the panel below the rear glass, and the small channels just above the doors. I don’t believe there has been paint or body work necessarily, but am not an expert in that field. When we acquired the car, it was immediately put on a wrecker and towed to a reputable Porsche repair facility in OKC. The engine was hand cranked first, then started. At that time it was discovered the clutch was out. During clutch replacement, the mechanic inspected the IMS bearing, and suggested replacing it also, since it had noticeable wear. We went ahead and changed fluids, flushed brakes, installed a new battery, and a host of other little things (shown on receipt). The car runs strong and feels good. I do believe the starter is beginning to have issues, due to the random slow starting, especially since the battery is new. There are a few small issues, mostly cosmetic, that I will list below. I know I have forgotten additional information, and if need be, will add more notes in the future. Please ask questions before bidding. I have driven the car from OKC to Tulsa (nearly 2 hours), and have driven it back and forth to work for a week, to try and find any other issues that might make the car unsafe or to discover any hidden problems. I have thoroughly enjoyed this car, and I have been stopped by nearly everyone, both in traffic and at the pump, to look at the car. It definitely gets attention. Although not a real GT3, I think the body kit looks convincing and excellent on the car. **Please understand this car is not perfect by any means; it is 16 years old. I don’t believe it has been torn up, but definitely hasn’t been pampered or babied. I have scans of the Carfax and clear title upon request. Issues I have found and felt need to be listed: Slow starting-mechanic says starter most probable culprit.Slight color variations in the paint, depending on body or kit panel.Tires are 8 years old, and although not dry rotted, should be replaced soon.Interior-hole on side of dash where something was mounted, radio and trunk light inoperable.Exterior-small damage on front ground effect, small windshield wiper rub marks from not replacing blades.Exterior-small dig on front bumper, small ding on hood, and a few scratches in the paint here and there.Title lists vehicle as a “942”? Don’t know why Oklahoma did that. Strong points: New clutch and IMS bearing-already done. Nice body kit and body in overall good condition.Low miles-3500 or so approx. each year.Interior in excellent condition. Some factory package upgrades-see pics.If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Vehicle is located in the Tulsa, OK area. I am available via e-mail or phone/text. Vehicle is sold as-is, with a free and clear title, with no warranty. Thanks for looking!**UPDATE-since several of you have asked, an LN Engineering bearing was installed. My receipt lists "LN", and I called the repair shop to confirm today.****Additional notes-12/1/2016-I picked up a case of copy paper at the store today, and I noticed a slight suspension noise at the front passenger side, possibly aggravated by the weight up front? Could be a strut or shock? Doesn't sound bad, but worth mentioning. Also, the car has heated seats and I did test the driver side-it works well. There is what appears to be a well integrated radar detector installed, and appears to work. And the car has all 4 floor mats and both keys. I just replaced both remote batteries.
