You are buying this 78 Lincoln Mk V, I am the second owner of this great car, All original engine, drivetrain, 460 v8, auto. The car was owned by a senior woman who babied and took care of car, always serviced and repaired by the same pro. shop, oil was changed religiously, when she was too old to drive the big car anymore, i was able to step in and buy it. The years spent outdoors took a toll on the original brown paint and the half vinyl roof. I removed the vinyl roof but saved all trim mouldings, I did some body repair on both sides under opera windows where it was rusty. I used fiberglass bondo and sealer before the paintjob, the bodywork is good but not perfect as i planned on replacing the vinyl roof . I had the car sanded and painted at a body shop, using SEM Hot Rod Black, satin finish. Also painted the body side mouldings black, The front bumper I cut out the center section and made fillers after seeing it done on TV on Counts Customs. This Mod allows you to see the complete front grill all the way to bottom where it is normally hidden by the bumper, I was also planning on tucking the bumper halves in closer to the body but did not get to it yet. The car looks great in black especially at night. 91 thousand miles, did not roll over, engine all stock, never hot rodded, all accesories there, The carb has been replaced with an Edelbrock performer 4 barrel ,correct for this engine, choke, linkage, kickdown all working. Trans shifts perfect, rear is quiet, Car has factory 4 wheel disc brakes. I have added the Optional Lincoln aluminum wheels correct for this car , and Bridgestone ww tires with about 60% remaining thread. The factory style full dual exhaust is all replaced , chrome tips added.Coolest part of the car are the working flip up headlight doors. Interior is a biege tan leather, split front bench . The dash top pad is perfect, no cracks, all guages work, all lighting,power trunk, power antenna, mirrors, wipers, heat all work, The AC was converted to 134A and was working but it leaked out over a few weeks time, The driver armrest plastic is cracked and needs repair, the driver door control panel joy stick seat control is bad, so moving the seats is hit or miss. driver window and vent work, pass window is intermittent, may need motor or may be the switch is bad, I purchased a replacement window motor and its in the trunk, goes with car .The car has been very reliable to me in the last 2 years, only needing a starter solenoid, we cruise this car all over and everyone loves it. It is not a flawless show car , but a fun classy, mild custom , awesome 70s time capsule. Ask all questions before bidding, Thanks for looking
