Vehicle Detail
Due to the fact that we bought a large estate and we are short on space, I’m dropping the reserve dramatically, so good luck to all those collectors of British motorcycle classics. 1970 Triumph Bobber Custom/Triumph magic magneto 1970 Triumph Bobber Custom Triumph magic magneto I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: We received this beautiful custom made Triumph from the estate of an older gentleman in Spring Branch, Texas. He was a professional bike builder and he built this fast bike for himself. Due to health reasons the bike stayed in his living room for the last four years. (He also gave us a 1966 BSA that is also being advertised on E-bay currently.) We sent the bike out to a Triumph Mechanic. He cleaned the carburetor, and this beautiful girl came to life. The bike is extremely fast and since I’m not familiar with bikes, but I’ll try to explain all the goodies that it has. The bike has all the right stuff! 750 cc motor Twin carbs Triumph magic magneto Custom paint Teardrop gas tank Solo seat Custom scrambler exhaust This bike starts on the first kick. The bike has a clear Texas title. The owner’s son told us that his dad spent a fortune and quite a bit of time building this dream bike for himself. The engine and transmission were done professionally. He didn’t take any short cuts. Remember this classic bike is 46 years old. Please remember that you are more than welcome to come see it in person. Your bid is your contract. Please place bids only if you are serious about buying the item. If you are the winning bid, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchase the item. We require a $300 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes and the remaining balance within a week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The Triumph will be sold as is, with no warranty or guarantee. We reserve the right to cancel any bid for excessive negative feedback. And I may also advertise it locally. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN BUILDING A BETTER EXPERIENCE -ONE CUSTOMER/FRIEND AT A TIME On Nov-08-16 at 06:30:05 PST, seller added the following information: I tried to post the engine and frame number but I'm at the max with regard to pictures so I can't post it. If any of you want a picture of the engine and frame number I can send it to you. I'm doing this because one of our customers sent me the attached e-mail that I think is very useful. Respectfully,Snefaro You might want to post those matching frame and engine numbers as that brings proof of the originality of the bike. 1970 is one of the best years since they haven't gone over to the oil in frame type...I thought it might be the TR6R Trophy since it has twin carbs..(Tiger was one)....It's a little confusing that it doesn't have a speedometer but owner might have eliminated it. Street bikes in my state have to have speedo or won't pass inspection..The competition type(TR6C) is off road only and doesn't have a speedo either.but their numbers indicate TR6C.(C for competition only). So you have a great machine there and with a title(street bikes only, not with off road competition) , it seems to point to the speedo was eliminated but one could be easily put back on to make it street legal in all states...sorry about the confusion...In any event the Tr6s were very quick, competitive motorcycles..There will probably be a flurry of bids right at the end of the auction as bidders know what it is.... Good luck with this beautiful bike..
