I don't mind if you get a mechanic to check it out before you buy it see if other ads say that if you're looking for 1980 Westfalia Vanagon that's excellent running condition just needs some minor cosmetics such as 2 shocks for the back door 1 side sliding door handle plastic handle for sink to front seats needs some upholstery work. It can use a paint job and the new top can be put on it. look no further and that's the original mileage that you see on the speedometer for chassis and transmission yes 045265. I still would need to put new tires and brake pads on it before I do that kind of trip but it takes me around local great brake pads and tires have about a thousand miles left on them.
