1991 Land Rover Defender 90 Soft-top This vehicle is ex military defender 90. Being a Military vehicle it has always been kept on a very good maintenance plan. This vehicle is here in our Sarasota Florida showroom and is ready to use as is or to build your dream defender. Overall it's in very good shape for a 25+ year old vehicle. Everything is present and functions as it should, the engine cranks first time and runs great. To remove the roof and turn it into a convertible takes less than 5 minutes. Below I have listed some key facts about this defender. Mileage is in KM so around 106k miles. Engine 2.5L Diesel Non turbo 12J. This engine starts first time and runs great. Transmission 5 speed LT77 gearbox with Hi Lo transfer box. Shifts very smoothly without play in the box, Hi/Low works as it should without any whines, clunks etc. Clutch is very smooth. Axle Heavy duty Salisbury rear axle (drum) and Heavy duty rear suspension Suspension Heavy duty suspension front and rear, drives very nice down the road, nice and tight. Body Body is painted army green and does show some age related marks but overall in very good condition. Bulkhead/Frame The doors are very solid as shown in the pictures. As is the bulkhead and frame. Lighting it has correct Military lighting, everything functions as it should and is in great condition.
