1999 Toyota Corolla VE sedan, only 85,900 miles, blue exterior, grey interior. Asking $1200 or best offer. NW of Boston, Massachusetts. NO shipping - LOCAL PICKUP only (Ebay's default seems to refer to shipping to many locations but that's no true for this vehicle). SPECS: Automatic transmission, four cylinders, air conditioning AM/FM radio. Everything works! POSITIVES: 1 Engine fine, still has long life 2 Just spent $1100+ on: new front tires, new front brake linings, new windshield wipers, brakelight replacement, full interior and exterior professional cleaning before deciding to sell it (I was given a great deal on a 2010 car) 3 Has had regular tune-ups and maintenance (receipts kept for the past three years) 4 Only one owner/driver (senior citizen, 5,000 miles per year) 5 Very low mileage for a 17 year old car -- only 85,900 miles 6 Just passed inspection in late August 2016, no problem! 7 Have original owner's manual and maintenance guide, in excellent condition 8 Owner/driver who is writing this ad is honest and trustworthy NEGATIVES: 1 Body has some rust (only one small area is visible on outer body of car) 2 Has several small dents (not repaired after the one minor accident the car had) and many light scratches (someone's kid playing "bam bam" with a supermarket cart in a parking lot) 3 Supposedly has small leak at top of gas tank (according to mechanic, but no gas has ever leaked from it as far as I can tell) -- is safe as is, am just advised to keep it under 2/3 full 4 Has a lot of "progressive" bumper stickers which can be removed (using goo gone, cold cream etc.). Seller plans to remove some of them before sale. Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds and AutoTrader price it (based upon year, miles, some rust and dents) at between $1550-$1850. On October 12, I took the lien release (from 2002 when the loan was paid off) to the RMV to clear the title. It will be indicated as cleared and the car will be saleable as soon as the bureaucracy catches up with itself (they say 7 business days), probably by October 21.
