100% NO RESERVE AUCTION 100% High Bidder Wins No Matter How Much It Brings. The Auction will NOT be closed early because the truck is NOT for sale locally. It is only available on eBay. SO BID TO OWN IT. I have been an eBay user for over 20 years. I have had the same user ID all along. Check my feedback for yourself and bid with confidence. Well thanks for taking a look at the 1998 GMC YUKON I have put up for auction on eBay. I have owned this vehicle for 10 years now and over all it has been one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned. I am the second owner. I bought it with 125K on it right after a new transmission was installed. It now has 192K on it and just went through PA state inspection. I put new pads on the front brakes but that was all it needed to pass. I have done work on the truck over the years. Some major and some just routine. 1. One of the notorious problems with GMC/Chevy trucks of this and surrounding vintages is the in-tank fuel pump. I had this part fail on me about 4 years ago and replaced it. 2. The brake lines tend to rust through. This happened to me and was replaced with new. 3. Had an intake gasket failure at the same time as I developed a radiator leak and had the entire top end taken apart (did not pull the heads) and resealed with new gaskets and replaced the radiator at the same time. That was about 3 years ago or so and it has been fine ever since. 4. Replaced the alternator last year myself. Easy fix. 5. Regular oil and filter changes and inspections and have replaced the rotors and rear drums a few years ago. Please take a look at all of the pictures that I have provided and you will see that this truck has been remarkably well taken care of and is pretty well preserved for its age. There are a lot of great things right with this truck and I will try to list some of them here. 1. Great engine. Starts easily even during the coldest of times. No check engine lights or emissions problems and runs as smooth as any 350 GM I have ever driven. Get behind the wheel and you will be amazed at how well a truck with 192K miles has held up. 2. Solid Transmission. Push Button 4WD or AWD with 2WD High Range and 4WD Low Range. Touch a button and choose how you want the transmission to engage. I have used this truck in the rain and snow and have never gotten stuck or even slid around unless I wanted to. 3 The interior is near perfect for a truck that is almost 20 years old and has the kind of mileage it has. The power drivers seat still works like a charm and is about as comfortable a seat as you would expect from any truck. This is cloth seating NOT LEATHER and there is not a rip or burn hole anywhere. This truck had never been smoked in and that is apparent as soon as your nose enters the truck. There have always been floor mats on the floors throughout including the rear cargo area and it shows in how well preserved the carpeting is. You could ride around with white socks on and they would still be white when you got out. 4. The body of the truck is also in really great shape for its age. Yes there are some bumps and bruises and some of those I have documented in the pictures. However if you look closely you will see that there is no major rust anywhere on the body. I was told at the time I bought the truck that it had been accident free. I did not do a CarFax or any other check at the time and there has not been any reason for me to doubt the seller since then. There have not been any accidents while the truck has been part of my family. Somebody did clip the passenger side rear quarter slightly but all it did was to crease some of the chrome trim around the wheel well and I never bothered to have it repaired. There is a shot to the drivers side rear door and some other slight nicks consistent with the age of the vehicle. 5. The wheels and tires are fine and although the tires were replaced about 2 years ago they only have about 10K on them and they should be good for many more miles. There has never been a flat on any tire and the wheels are still straight and round. No balance problems or wobbles and the alignment is true. There are also some issues with the truck that need to be discussed. 1. During the inspection it was reported that there is a pin hole leak in the rear differential cover. This is due to rust and not from any other reason. It is not leaking badly at this point but should either be wire brushed and then Marine-Tex applied or drain the rear differential and then remove and replace the cover and gasket. 2. The belt is slightly noisy but not so much as to be annoying. I think that it is the belt tension-er but it will be up to the winning bidder to diagnose and repair the problem. 3 The Air Conditioner blows cold but there is a slow leak. I had a recharge done about 3 years ago but did not run a dye test. At the beginning of this summer I noticed that it was not getting as cold as it should be so I had another recharge done. The compressor runs fine but is a little noisy. It has made the same noise since I bought it and I have taken the time to listen to other GM compressors on GM 350 trucks and found about half seem to have the same noisy compressor. So is it a problem or just the way older GM A/C units operate? I don't know for sure but I have been living with it for 10 years now and it has never bothered me enough to have it replaced. 4. The CD unit of the radio does not function as far is I am concerned. When I first got the truck I put a CD in the player and it promptly ate it. It would not play and I could not get it to eject the CD. About six months later I turned on the car one day and the CD popped out. Don't know how or why but I retrieved it and have never tried to play it again. 5. There is some corrosion on the wheels. I tried to show it in the pictures as well as possible. Does not affect drive-ability but the wheels are not as pretty as they could be. 6. Finally. The paint is fading and primer is showing through on the roof and some on the hood. There are spots where the clear coat has bubbled and the reason for all of it is that I have never had a garage to keep it in so Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring it has lived outside. Check out the pictures. I have tried to show some of it but if you are the winner of this truck be aware that it is not perfect. So there you have it. I have done as well as I can to tell the good and the bad. The truck is 19 years old and has been driven about 10,000 miles per year at this point. It has never been neglected Terms and Conditions PICKING UP THE GMC YUKON IN PERSON is the preferred option but some people want to ship. Shipping must be arranged by the buyer at the buyers expense.
