Here is also additional info on the vehicle... The car is not 100% original, as it is indicated in the documents/pictures about the restoration. All the appearance components are original, so the car looks very much like it did in 1959. It is my understanding the original model was not offered with the hard top, but rather a soft top only, with the hard top you see in the pictures available as an aftermarket accessory. It has been many years since the hard top has been removed, so there is a possibility that the original soft top is still there (I can't guarantee it as I have no help to remove the hard top to check). The guts of the car were updated during the restoration process to make it more of a drivers car. The engine came from a later model corvette (likely an 80's, as it is a 355), and because the engine's power was increased significantly, the transmission, suspension and brakes were also updated. Over the last 60 days I replaced the starter, the carburetor, the heating coil (all for new components, not reconstructed) and rewired the cooling fan. The battery is only 1 yr old. It is also important to mention there are no leaks of any kind.
