THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION STARTING AT .99! 1978.5 Suzuki RM250C2. I bought this bike in 2005, it was what looked to be a low hour trail bike, given the kick stand, lack of numbers on plates, original tires, lack of carbon build-up in the PERFECT silencer, and this butt ugly aluminum skid plate that was quickly disposed of. It was a great running bike, so I planned to restore it (along with a matching 78 125C) and race the 2007 vintage season. Due to a Motorcycle related/Non-Riding injury, I never raced again. The Frame and parts were powdered coated or painted, all the aluminum was polished, and all hardware re-zinced. Clutch cover was pulled for inspection, crank bearings had no run-out, the rod bearings felt ok as well, a fresh top end with a new .05 piston (2nd/see/photo) cases look to have never been split. The wheels were polished redone with NOS spokes, no flat spots or cracks with correct wheel code to bike, brand new tires, all plastic seat cover/foam, all new cables, sprockets and chain, suspension front and rear have good dampening. This bike has been sitting since 2007 in a hot/dry Arizona storage unit and has had zero run time. I had another bike fall over on it (Milk Crate Stand)...hence the ugly ding in the pipe. Fluids were drained with the exception of the fork oil. I had "Thinned the Herd" quite a while back, keeping my collection to "Metal Tank" era bikes with the exception of my 81 490, I honestly even forgot I still had this one. Bike is not perfect, but very close. If your plan is to race/ride the bike it does come also with a not so nice rider quality tank. If more info/photos desired please ask.
