This is a single family owned 2001 VW Jetta Wolfsburg 1.8 turbo. It has been well loved for the entirety of its life with us. I modified the car a bit over its life, but kept it as stock in appearance I could. It is a fun car while still remaining a good daily driver. I used this car to commute to work everyday, as well as going back and forth to school in South Carolina. It has never been raced. You will notice the dented passenger side of the vehicle. I put it into a snow bank in February 2015. I brought it to a mechanic who confirmed that everything was OK mechanically. The only damage was cosmetic, which you can see. I had them check the alignment just as a precaution, and it was OK. I continued to drive the car without any issue for another year. It has finally come time to part with it, and I'm hoping someone will be able to enjoy this car like we did. I can help deliver within a 100 mile radius. Vehicle must be picked up by August 27th as I am leaving the country for some time. Issues: Secondary air pump needs to be replaced. It does not impact any drivability or performance, but will need to be replaced for emissions I passed emissions in Oct. 2015. Emissions will need to be done in Oct. 2017 if the car remains in CT. This causes a check engine light. A couple codes about knock sensor low voltage. The car does not knock, but the sensors will get intermittent low voltage causing the check engine light to come on. I have replaced the knock sensor numerous times. To fully resolve it, it may need some wiring looked at.Drivers side seat heater does not work. The heating element needs to be replaced. I didn't use it, so I replaced the switch with a temperature gauge. The switch will come with the car if you want to fix it.Sunfaded hoodDriver seat is a bit threadbare, but no holes.Small rust spots. The largest is about the size of a half-dollar and can be seen on the hood above the headlightStock BBS RXII wheels have some pitting on the lip. They have never been curbed. This is a known issue with these wheels (search VW Vortex) due to a soft clear coat that allowed oxidation. It is purely cosmetic. Recent Maintenance: New radiator installed July 2016 (small leak had been found)Oil & Filter change @ 205,000 - Oil changed every 5k miles with Mobil 1 5w-30 fully synthetic and a VW Mann filterCabin Air filter replaced @ 200,000 milesNew starter @ 195,000 milesNew timing belt, water pump, and accessory belt @ 181,000 miles (we did this early as a precaution)Battery & alternator replaced @152,000 I have full records for the car Modifications: VW Bora OEM HID headlights (These are a difficult part to find now, and originally cost $1,000. In perfect condition as they had Lamin-x film their whole life. I removed the film last month because it had yellowed. I have a new set that will come with the car.
