This all original 1971 Mercury Cougar Convertible is a perfect summer project. This is a very solid car. There is minimal surface rust. All original paint. I couldn't find and bondo anywhere on this Cougar. This car is mechanically sound with its 351 Cleveland engine with the 2V heads and a C6 automatic transmission. It starts right up. The floors and trunk are both solid and the body is straight. The car also has power disc brakes in the front with drum in the back. A/C has a complete original R-12 system that works. It does need a recharge. Headlights, turn signals, interior lights, blower motor and most all the electric components work. The car still has many its original stickers, emblems and moldings. This car only needs cosmetic work (including a new convertible top) to be perfect. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
