This unbelievably clean Jeep Comanche comes with the rare Metric Ton option which includes: heavy duty cooling system, heavy duty suspension with 8 blades in the rear, Dana 44 rear diff., large gaz tank, and protection plates under tank, tranny and engine. Other options include; extra sound proofing, sliding rear window, vent windows, towing mirrors, cruise control (not in operation) adjustable steering, power steering, Command Track 4 wheel drive, step-on rear chrome bumper, side steps, heavy duty tow hitch. I bought this Comanche from the 69 year old original owner. I doubt it has ever been off road. The owner was really fussy and never took it out in winter. He did not want me to try it on the street because there was 1/2 inch of snow! He had bought it to install a camper. It still has the square tubing welded to the frame and I left it there as it does not show. It has original paint everywhere except for the outside of the bed as it had a few scratches. All striping was painstakingly taped instead of replacing so as to keep everything as original as can be. The bed has always been protected with a 'Comanche' branded protection liner. The paint is absolutely impeccable under the liner. See the two pictures which show a wear spot in the corner of the right hand door and the nick on the rear bumper. It was bent when I bought it and I had it straightened as much as possible. The chrome in the middle had chipped, so I had a stainless steel plate installed and it looks OK. Besides that, there is not a speck of body rust anywhere. The interior is as clean and impeccable as is the exterior. Not a scratch, not a rip, not a tear. You could eat off the carpets! Non-smoker. The original steering wheel is a thin rim wheel. I bought a thicker one off a Cherokee, but the red is not identical, although close enough. On the photo, it show worse than it is in real life because of the camera flash. The original wheel will come with the Jeep. Toyo Observe tires that have 3000 miles mounted on original rims. The Jeep also has cap that is paint to match. (see photos) Vehicle has 123,58 kilometres, which converts to 76,777 miles, meaning that this Comanche was driven an average of less than 3000 miles a year. Invoices in file prove this. I have the original dealer invoice, in french, which I can translate. Recent tune up. The 4.0 litre engine has an extremely good reputation for reliability and this one is no exception. There is nothing to do on this Jeep but to make it yours. I think it would be difficult to find another Comanche Metric Ton as good and as original as this one. There may be some out there, but I've never seen one. IMPORTING INTO THE USABecause this was manufactured in the USA and because it is a 1987 vehicle, it can easily and legally be imported into the US from Canada with no special documentation or adaptation.
