1951 Ford Pickup on a 1987 Dakota chassis. Disk brakes, rack and pinion steering. 400 cid Chevy engine rebuilt with approx 2500 km. 700 R4 trans. I love it but need to complete another project so it is for sale. To be absolutely transparent the truck looks, feels, drives and shifts like an old truck. In fact the transmission shifts from first to second gear a little wonky. I've driven it like that for four years without issue but it could use some sort of service. I've driven it from Ottawa to Detroit without any problems. It handles just fine on major highways. The original gauges do not work and I drive it by GPS on my phone for a speedometer. Body is solid and has a fantastic patina. It squeaks rattles and bangs along like a pro! Questions? Just ask.
