I love this car and hate to see it go, but I needed a turck for work. These engines are known to reach 300,000 miles when maintained. The AWD goes anywhere and has never let me down. The 5 speed shifts smoothly and the motor is responsive. Foresters in this year range had head gasket issues. I solved that issue at a professional mechanic who specializes in Subarus and have all documentation to prove it. Had a ton of other work done at the same time while he had it apart. AC blows cold, cruise control works great. Mechanically sound vehicle. Items replaced include: Head Gasket Timing Belt Clutch intake gaskets water pump thermostat idler pulleys tensioner cam seals crank seal exhaust gaskets donut gasket hoses belts spark plugs/wires radiator cap battery terminals exhaust flange essentially all the consumable parts... The bad: as described above the drivers side rear quarter was wrinkled. It is painted and does not affect inspection, but is a visual flaw. paint has a few scratches/dings here and there, but nothing else major. The interior bears signs of use, but may clean up well.
