I’m not a car Flipper, we have owned it since 2012, clean Texas Title in my name. Texas licensed and inspected through May 2017 I have the CarFax in PDF and can email it. It shows 2 owners, but I am the 3rd owner It shows all 3 title changes, but it’s not calculated at the top (I reported it to CF to fix it) I bought this Jeep for my son’s first car who is now in the US Navy. My youngest son drove it for a while too as we were sill building his 1988 XJ (known as the Beast). I should have sold the 01 a year ago but we had a hard time letting go of O’l Blue as my boy call it. My youngest is going Navy too this fall. I have 3 jeeps so it’s time Blue to go. We bought it in May 2012 with 139K it now has 173K and I have rebuilt, upgraded and replaced just about everything but the engine which still runs like new. Oil is changed every 4K or 6 months with Castrol GTX High mileage 10/40 I have receipts for most everything. I’ll start by year. I have quick YouTube vid of some of the repairs and I did a How To video on doing an XJ rear disk brake conversation Repairs> https://youtu.be/mg6udAgmruM Brakes> https://youtu.be/sD_ghQRdE-w 2012: Summer Complete brake upgrade, converted to 4-wheel disks, new calipers, rotors and steal braided lines, axle bearings and seals (pad were recently replaced) 2.5in lift kit installed 4 new shocks and stabilizer New radiator 4 new Tires Firestone Destination A/T all terrains New Diehard Gold Premium battery New Alternator. Installed killer stereo system for son’s birthday. Kenwood system, iPhone, smartphone, Pandora ready. Kenwood high power 2way 5.25s in the doors and factory rear-roof speaker pod. Kicker AMP installed under the back seat and Kicker 10in sub in the back. 2013: June: 2 primary catalytic converters replaced (which is the exhaust manifold it’s all one piece and a pain in the A.. to replace. There are 3 cats on this Jeep) and all 4 O2 senses replaced Full tune up with iridium plugs and replaced the Coil Pack New Starter New power steering pump and hoses. 2014 July: Transmission replaced. The planet gear carrier came apart and grenaded everything. Eagle Transmissions in McKinney rebuilt it with a heavy duty shift kit. While the trans was out I replaced and oil pan gasket and rear main seal and replaced the oil filter mount to-block housing O-rings (notorious for oil leaks) The oil pan had very little sludge and main cap had no bearing ware. (see video for pics) I also installed big-ass transmission cooler as well. The trans is good for another 200k August: 4 new Tires Firestone Destination A/T all terrains replaced under warranty due to tread defect (tires only have 10k miles since replaced, 75-80% tread left) October: New Radiator and used fan shroud (which broke, caught a fan blade and went through the radiator) 2015: All of the following was completed from the end of April to first of June. It’s a lot. I wanted to make it cool for my son, a bit of home since he’s so far away. I also needed to make sure it was 100% before I took it 1500 miles to my son’s base but his orders changed so he does not need a car right now: AC/Heater Core and complete cooling system (less Radiator as it was new) The heater core failed and the AC had a leak. To replace the core/evaporator the entire dash must be removed. New AC- Evaporator, dryer, manifold/hose assembly (its one piece) all O-rings, compressor was good (re-oiled with PAG 100) Cooling- Core, all hoses, water pump, pulleys belt, thermostat, and thermostat housing. New brake pads Front Steering: new tie rods, drag link, track bar. Used heavy duty Grand Cherokee ZJ tie rods. Ball joins and control arm bushings still good. (Front and rear sway bar bushings replaced as well) Installed new Draw Tite Class 2 hitch and heavy duty wiring harness Installed custom cold air intake with heat shroud Now for the fun stuff: (the following is powered by a standalone electrical system which I have a schematic for) Front Seats- installed 2003 Grand Cherokee WJ leather seats. Manual forward/back adjusted, but Power Recline and Power Lumbar work. Added aftermarket heated seats. (NOTE: I did NOT install the Grand Cherokee back seats. There are some modifications needed to get them to fit which I never got around to. But I have them and will include if you want them. The how is on the web) Lighting- Converted headlight to H-4s with white angel-eye halos Installed LED fog lights in the factory location Installed supper bight LED light bar on brush guard Upgraded all interior lighting to white LED added rear seat foot well lighting (when doors open) Added blue LED ambient lighting under-dash, cup holder, console and rear seat foot well Updated the gauge cluster to White-Faced overlays and a carbon-fiber bezel Other: all of the sensors have been replaced, most of the emissions system has been replaced, injectors cleaned and just replaced O-rings, front end aligned and oil/filter changed. Drivers Window regulator and Window Switch just replaced with Dorman units. The 97-01 OE drivers switch has a common issue where the window lock button fails (locked) and you can only open windows form the driver’s side. I’m sure I’ve forgoing something, just ask Includes original manual/books even the 2001 Jeep sales brochure Keys- 5 sets 2 working Keyless Entry fobs with camo covers (have original black Jeep covers too) and genuine Jeep 60th Anniversary “Rock” keys (why so many keys..… teenagers..! There is one set at the bottom of Lake Ray Roberts along with an iPhone 4S an another set somewhere on mountain in Steamboat Colorado) Condition: Well obviously mechanically excellent, interior excellent- No headliner issues and the console is Not broken-a common issue. Paint and Body: DFW area vehicle since new, not rust. No pealing in the clear coat. However there are some scratches and dings (it spent nearly 4yrs in a high-school parking lot so….) and some very light hail. A good PDR guy could take out most of the dings, but it still looks very good for 16 model years old.
