Vehicle Detail

For sale by private owner is this great looking 1991 Mustang GT 5.0L V8 convertible. There were 3 different reds available on Mustangs in 1991, and this is my personal favorite, "Medium Red". Not too bright, not too dark. Just right. It is also the rarest of all red Mustangs produced for the 1991 model year: Out of 8,852 (total) GT convertibles, only 360 were Medium Red (code EM). I love this car, however I simply have too many and need this garage spot for a new one. Please study the photos provided as they are to be considered a major part of the item description. This car gets compliments from strangers all the time. Fuel-injected 5.OL "High Output" V-8 engine and 4-speed overdrive automatic transmission. Runs great and shifts great. Some recent maintenance and upgrades include: New fuel pump, new battery, new DynoMax stainless steel dual exhaust (sounds fantastic), new radiator fan, new tune-up and new 17" Cobra replica alloy wheels with new 245/45/ZR-17 tires (these are one inch bigger and two sizes wider than stock, for a little more rubber on the road). Now that it's over 25 years old it qualifies for Historic Vehicle plates and much cheaper Collector Vehicle insurance. This is the time to grab one of these - prices are going up and it will never be any cheaper. Sure it's a fun car, but also an appreciating asset. Explain to your spouse, "It's an INVESTMENT!" hehe - doesn't usually work with my wife, but maybe you'll have better luck :^) Recently passed State Inspection. This car has always been garaged it's whole life. Driven sparingly on nice days only, never in salt and never even in rain as far as I know. Power top is in good condition and works well. Features glass rear window and original boot cover. A/C works and has been converted to R134a. Cruise control works. Stereo is a newer Blaupunkt CD with good power and sound. It also has a removable faceplate you can take with you for extra security. Interior is nice with no cracks in the dash and the steering wheel leather is in really nice condition. The seats feature adjustable side supports, power lumbar adjustment and thigh supports that can extend out for more comfort and support, which is one of my favorite things about this car actually. I think every car seat should have this feature. Original 1991 Mustang sales brochure book will be included with the car. Interesting note from the brochure - the ’91 model year convertibles have a redesigned softtop that sits lower (when lowered) than previous years, greatly improving visibility. -->>>>IMPORTANT NOTE: The small rear "quarter windows" have stopped working and are currently in the "down" position. I am told this is a common issue with these cars and may be a simple fix, but I have not had it looked at because I keep all the windows down anyway, sitting in the garage. The main door power windows work fine.<<<<-- The miles stated are accurate as of this listing, however may go up a little. Sometimes I take the kids to Steak n Shake in it. I will not take any extended road trips with this car while it is listed for sale. A note about the AutoCheck report: Although it states 4 owners, that is not really accurate as it was transferred among just one family prior to me buying it a few years ago. It was always garaged and pleasure driven on nice days only. Also the "minor issue" accident that is reported, I was told was a minor bump in a parking lot about 20 years ago that only damaged the front bumper (and of course got fixed). I believe the rest of the car to be original paint. It takes a wax job beautifully, but in the pics it is NOT freshly waxed. The pics are current, just a couple weeks old, but I have not waxed the car for about a year. It just stays looking that nice. To be clear: I am not trying to portray this as a perfect car, it has not been sealed in a bubble for a quarter century, just a very nice older car that still gets looks and compliments almost every time it gets driven. SHIPPING: I have shipped several vehicles over the years (both bought and sold) and never had any problems. You should be able to get this car shipped for just a few hundred dollars, depending on distance from St. Louis of course. Free quotes can be found at MOVECARS.COM My being located in the middle of the country means good access pretty much all over. I will be happy to work with your trucker as far as meeting up. All costs and scheduling related to shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer. TERMS: $500 deposit is due through PayPal within 24 hours of purchase, with the balance due within 7 days. Absolutely no personal checks. Serious buyers ONLY, zero tolerance for playing games. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions through the "Ask Seller a Question" link found within this listing.
