Vehicle Detail
For sale I have my 1984 Pontiac Fiero Indy. I bought it from the second owner back in April of 2014. A little history on the car- it's an Indy replica model, of which only 2000 were made. Through the Indy Fiero database online, I was able to figure out that mine is number 141 out of 2000. It was also used in the 1984 Indy 500 as a parade car, wearing plate number 69 on the track. I have a reproduction window sticker for the car which indicates it was sold at Dan Moorman Pontiac in Dayton, OH. Mechanically, the car is in great shape. It has the 2.5L Iron Duke 4 cylinder with automatic trans, just shy of 80,000 miles. It runs and drives great and can be put on the road instantly as a daily driver if you so decide. Over the past two years, the tires, shocks, headlight relays, one brake line have been replaced. I also gave the car a full tune up including plugs, wires, cap and rotor, new valve cover and gasket (still have original valve cover, but it's warped) and I've changed the trans filter and fluid. All of the electronics work such as the door locks, both windows, cruise control, and both headlight motors. The AC does not work but all of the parts are still there, I never looked into why it didn't work. It will also need brakes soon, the pads are at 1-2MM front and rear. Cosmetically, it's not in awful shape but it could probably use a paint job. There's chips here and there and rough paint from what I assume is sun damage. It's presentable, but don't expect to win any awards in it. Same with the interior, the drivers seat is ripped up moderately, and there's a quarter sized hole in the carpet by the dead pedal. Overall it's in great shape for being 32 years old but it definitely needs some TLC to be the shining gem it once was. I'm looking to get $2,600 for it. Flexible on the price to a reasonable extent. Not interested in any trades because I need to downsize my fleet. I have the vehicle listed locally as well.
