Vehicle Detail
Here is the deal: The Good: This vehicle starts and runs. You can drive it right onto your roll-back and it will idle indefinitely with no trouble. I just installed a new alternator (a 900$ job here) and a new radiator. The CD player and all power accessories, lights, gauges, sunroof and so on work. The battery is 1 year old. The Bad: I am about 95% certain it has a blown head gasket. If you take it out for a drive, it will begin to severely overheat shortly after the thermostat opens. That it can idle for an hour (which I did) without overheating is consistent with a blown head gasket because cylinder pressures are higher when driving. Slight chance it's a faulty thermostat, but I'd figure on pulling off the heads if you elect to repair. Otherwise, its a great parts vehicle. This popped up after I replaced the alternator/radiator allowing me to drive it further than previously. I also replaced the front valve cover gasket because it was leaking at that time. Additionally, the AC is not working (unsure if repair needed or discharged) and there is a shallow dent just ahead of the driver's rear tail-light (look closely at the first pic). I believe this could be popped out if desired. Other: This has a trailer hitch install for the bigger receiver (2 3/4?) and a 4-pin connector. Also, the trim ring around the gear shifter is missing. Please ask if you have any questions!
