Vehicle Detail

Please contact me ahead of time if you plan to bid and let me know how and when you plan on paying and picking up should you win. Trying to sell this car has turned into a massive headache which has led to an absurdly low price on the car. Figuring in a low-ball $8000 value on the car plus 50% depreciation on the supercharger (originally $5000), the car is valued at over $10500. I had been trying to sell the car prior to getting shipped overseas (me, not the car), but to no avail. I have arrived in Korea, however, my wife is still where the car is being garaged. That said, she is not going to be able to answer questions, entertain test drives, or be able to do anything other than hand the keys to the transport driver upon pick-up. As I said, I am now overseas after trying to sell my baby for the past three or so months. I am 13 hours ahead of the East Coast, so please bear that in mind when you send me messages. We (the winner and I) can communicate by email, I can draft a bill of sale once funds are committed, and we will be able to discuss the terms of delivery, either personal pick-up or a transport. However, there will be no returns, no refunds. Car sells as-is with no warranties. All the extras are already packed in the car from two "buyers" ago, and it's ready to get on the transport. The car is at an absurdly low beginning bid with a low reserve. Do not send me offers lower than the beginning bid. Do not send me emails wanting to buy just the wheels. Again, the auction is set with a low point-of-entry for bidding, and I am already taking a huge hit on the car. My consecutive misfortunes with various buyers - or lack thereof - are truly your gain. Thank you for looking! The Car: 1992 Porsche 968 Convertible in White/Blue. Purchased in April 2008. Records and receipts dating back to previous owners (as far back as 2000). D1R Supercharger installed by European Road and Racing (Charleston, SC) Feb 2012. Veloce 3.6 18" rims mounted Feb 2012. Treads (BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW) ~65-70%, Feb14. OEM 17" rims come with sale. No tires on those. ROW turn signal lenses installed Apr 2014. No more ugly bumperettes! Silver Porsche badge Silver manual shifter inlay HCV Feb2016 H2O Pump Oct2014 Brake Pads/Rotors Jul2014 Clutch Kit Jul2014 Radiator Jul2014 Cooling Fan Jul2014 Distributor Cap/Rotor May2014 C/V Apr2014 All belts Mar2014 Tons more...... Maintenanced regularly. Interior needs TLC - the car *is* almost 25 years old... Selling due to move out-of-country. This is a 25-year old car. It's not a museum car. I lovingly drove this car almost every day, and had fun doing it. I have put 60k on the car since 2008, and there's 190k on it total. The clock says 167k. Odometer gear busted a while back, never got around to replacing it. Only put about 7k on a year (always loved close to work), so guessing about 190k on it now. I got the car in to the shop at least twice a year, so while I did drive it daily to work (about 10 miles one-way), the regular maintenance means I did it with no issues. Being an old car, there are some minor imperfections. I have not driven the car for the last 3 months or so due to trying to sell it. Had to jump it once, but it seemed to be holding charge last I turned it on. Again, I have been in country about 4 weeks, so it it has been sitting in the garage for a while now. May need to be jumped when the transport comes. Issues: The right headlamp does not go down. I have pulled the fuse, so both lamps are up 'permanently,' and I actually like the look. Does not affect the functionality of the lamps. The convertible top has a small, dime-sized hole on the driver's side panel. I don't drive it in the rain when at all possible, so there is no water damage in the car. Along the same lines, the liner in the top is deteriorating, so if you get trapped in a heavy storm, it may begin to seep through. But like I said, I RARELY have it in the rain, so I haven't noticed any water damage. The driver seat is worn out. Makes sense. 190k on the ticker. A/C and cruise control are inop. Never used anyway. Those are the biggest issues I can think of. The frame is straight. Never been in an accident to my knowledge. I can provide more pictures and more detailed maintenance info to serious bidders... just ask! SOLD AS-IS. NO WARRANTY.
