1970 Chevelle SS 454 The real deal with build sheet Car was assembled at the Lakewood plant in Atlanta GA, with the following options--B57 floor mats-- $11.60 B93 door edge guards $4.34--D88 hod and deck stripes $68.50--G80 Posi track $42.15--N40 power steering $105.35--U63 push button radio $63.10--ZL2 Ducted hood $147.45 Z15 454 SS package $445.55 No reserve-- Altanta cars are well know for gluing the build sheet to the back of the pass door and this one is the same. The sheet is still attached to what remains of the door panel. The car will need a complete restoration. The floors and quarters have been replaced but not well and need redone. This car deserves to have a one piece floor and trunk pan installed as well as quarters. Fender are poor and loosely bolted on. the hood is in good shape except for some removal around the airbox-see pic. The dash is real nice with no extra holes. interior needs completely redone. The original drive train is long gone. However I do have a 12 bolt rear end out of a 70 SS LS5 or LS6 its code is CRU 331 open, however the axles spin the same direction so its a posi. The engine included in the sale is a 454 form the mid 70's. I was told it was running when removed. Its pretty much stock I would consider it a good core. No transmission. The rear sway bar is in the trunk and f41 bar up front still on car. What is the car worth? -- Documented Super Sport cars always bring much more than a similar non documented car, no one can argue that. Now documented 454 cars bring more than documented 396 cars, no one can argue that either. A documented 454 car easily bring 10k more than an undocumented car, don't think anyone will argue that one either. Then if you spend 10K on this car and you can sell it for 10k more than an undocumented car than its kinda like getting this car for free. Kinda. The car is available for inspection at my home but you must call first 765-206-0350. Delivery maybe available at a buck ten a mile up to 250 miles one way, but you must call first. To do this car right expect fenders- quarters -inner and outer wheel houses-one piece trunk pan-maybe redo the floor- I think this is the minimum sheet metal needed. The 454 engine is included in the sale as well as the rear end. The rear end is worth quite a bit of money and I will not sell it separate. So no $1000 won't buy it. Sorry. Thanks On Jul-15-16 at 14:22:40 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE As of 7-15 I have 186 watchers and a bunch of calls, I have had 3 times the amount of interest in this car than anticipated. The car still has the f41 boxed control arms as well as the big sway bar in front. Also the rear sway bar is in the trunk. There is a 10 bolt in the car now but the loose 12 bolt is included in the sale, it is coded for a 70 SS with a 454 LS6 or LS5. Code CRU 331 open. However I pretty sure it has a posi in it. You do not have to pay extra for the rear end or the 454 engine, one bids gets all. The frame looks good except for the very back section by the rear bumper, its a little thin. I think I have a rear frame section if you would chose to replace it. It can be used but its not perfect around a couple of slots right behind the bumper. There is rust in the floor under the rear seat but I have a panel to replace that I will included that also. I think both fenders should be replaced. Someone put on outer wheelhouses and partial quarters. Can needs full quarters. Correct crossmember is still in the car. The dash is real nice with no cracks and the radio holes are good. Again the car is restorable by all means but it is a project. You are buying the fact it is a real SS 454! There must be 20 clones on Ebay at any given time. Some for sale over a over and they are a no sale because of no paperwork.
