Last of the tailfins! If you bid on this Black Beauty, here’s what you get: car has been in Nebraska all its life. You’d be the 5th owner in 55 years. I have driven it daily for 4 years but not in snow. Asking price is thousands less than I’ve spent on it. 4 floor panels and rocker panels from Ecklers have been welded in, brake work, front-end work, rear-oil seal, water pump, exhaust, re-upholstery of front seat, of course belts and hoses. Trunk is dry. There are some small fender rust-throughs (see pics). They could melt this Impala down for battleship chains. Even though this is a 4-door, it truly has a great look from the side. “Swept-back” styling, sort of a Batmobile look, long and low - - especially with the white stripe. People at stop lights always smile and point. Glass is good. Has factory tint! You can get in and sail it to the drive-in this summer no sweat. There is no mud on it. Passenger side has a mild sideswipe. Tried to show it in the pictures. It is a crease from the quarter panel to the “airplane” behind the rear door. The parts that are not original are wheels, double-pot master cylinder /proportioning valve, manual choke and alternator. It runs pretty well. 80,000 miles; puffs a little when you shift the 3-on-the-tree. Out on the freeway it’ll run at 75 all day long. What needs work: speedo, turn signal switch, dash guages, headliner, heater fan, window seals, and the sideswipe. No funny stuff, no surprises. See my eBay Feedback. Since the car has been driven steady its whole life the gas tank has never been replaced. I do not have the original oil-pot air cleaner. I do have a chrome paper-filter large air cleaner, but there is so little clearance for it that we've been using a drop-down air filter off of a Bobcat (which works fine but does not look vintage).On Jul-06-16 at 07:36:25 PDT, seller added the following information: When I took a few pics of the trunk I had to empty out quite a bit of stuff including an antifreeze jug that had dribbled a little bit out ... that's what you see that looks wet in the photo.
