Vehicle Detail
For Sale is an excellent condition late style 1985 Porsche 944. I am the 3rd Owner of the car. Purchased in Connecticut from a mechanic who performed all maintenance. He purchased it from the original owner who bought the car new and performed all maintenance at the dealer. The stamped porsche warranty book is available. I have had no issues with reliability and often drive the car to work with no issues. No electrical gremlins or strange behavior. Car is excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition for a car of this age. Previous owner recently repainted so paint is not faded. Has dash cracks. Transaxle is a little loud at high RPM / low speeds, after changing gear oil I found no metal shavings or signs of transmission wear in old oil. Plenty of tread on all tires.Recent maintenance: Bulkhead to rear tee hard brake line replaced @ 97,529mi (by At Speed Motorsports in Hanover)Rear Brake Calipers were dragging, Replaced @ 97,529mi (by At Speed Motorsports in Hanover)Brake Master Cylinder Replaced, Replaced @ 97,529mi (by At Speed Motorsports in Hanover)Timing/Balance Shaft belt all rollers and tensioners replaced @ 97,576mi (Replaced myself using clarks garage method, tension checked by At Speed Motorsports)Engine Oil change @ 97,576mi (Replaced myself)Transmission Oil change @ 97,576mi (Replaced myself)Crank to Alternator Belt Replaced @ 97,576mi (Replaced myself)Crank to Power Steering Belt Replaced @ 97,576mi (Replaced myself)Fuel pressure regulator Replaced @ 95,500mi by previous ownerDME Relay Replaced @95,500mi by previous ownerAFM Replaced @ 95,500mi by previous ownerWater Pump Replaced @ ~80,000mi by previous ownerMiscellaneous regular maintenanceNeeds: Brake pads and rotors (Included with the purchase of the car)Clutch feel is changing and pedal return is sticky, needs new clutch master/slave cylinders (easy DIY)Also included are porsche specific tools and extra parts to DIY most regular maintenance jobs.- New Brake Rotors- New Brake Pads- Porsche Tensioner Wrench- Porsche Flywheel lock- Water Pump, upon inspection current one is in great condition, should be replaced at next belt interval 125,000 mi- Water pump mounting bolts- New Original Spec Thermostat- Front seal kit- Response throttle cam (not installed, I preferred the original feel)- New Air Compressor for collapsible spare tire
