ORIGINAL MSRP OVER $92,000 Vin # WDBGA70GXXA419588 Up for sale is my 1999 Mercedes CL500 in shining black exterior and tan leather interior colors I have owned this car for more than 18 months, and during the time, I have replaced many brand new parts and meticulously maintained to keep this beauty in top notch, excellent running condition. She is always parked in my garage and detailed many times a week. This is the last year of the Mercedes W140 body style which have been considered to be one of the most beautiful Mercedes coupes ever produced. Right now she drives like a Bently GT couple down the road, smooth, quiet, and powerful. The only reason I want to sell this car is because I bought a 2008 CL600 Mercedes and I have no room to store this car in my garage; otherwise I would keep this beauty. This is a 3 Owner Mercedes CL500 which has been checked CARFAX Clean. The W140 Coupe is a driver’s car to feel the control and power, which I prefer the feel better than my friend’s 2015 S600 sedan which drives just like most Lexus. The Bose sound system in this car is truly fantastic sound effect is truly fantastic, which is mainly due to the all double-panels windshield glasses surround the doors. All 4 tires are in near new condition (the Pirelli Pzer Nero 255/45/19 high performance tires cost about $1100 with just 7500 miles on them). The V8 power engine is powerful and smooth through all gears by the silky transmission, absolutely no noise of any kind during driving. All power door works, new brake rotors and brake pads (installed 7500 miles ago). A new alternator installed ($750). A new air conditioner control unit installed (cost about $1000 labor and parts). A brand new battery installed. Two new front shocks and two new tie rod ends ($900 labor and parts) and two new rear hydraulic shocks ($2200 labor and parts). All wheels are perfect aligned and leathers are in fantastic like new condition (two front seats, console, and two rear seats). New spark plugs due in 30k miles from now. A new third brake light installed to replace the old one ($250). This car has been fully maintained (oil, oil filter transmission and filter changed about 3500 miles ago), New Master Air Flow Sensor (MAF $550 installed) for smooth engine running. Two new resonators and muffler claps installed ($450). Cylinder head resealed ($350). One new muffler pipe installed due to rust. 4 New AMG-like One-piece wheel (19 x 8.5) installed ($1500 for 4 19 inch wheel). Fuel injectors have been cleaned twice over 12 months. Two new air filters are installed. All woods are in excellent shape in like new condition. All controls and functions are operational in normal condition, except the sunroof – locked NOT Open/Closed. But I hardly use the sunroof at all. Back in 2007, there was a very minor accident on the driver front fender which was just a surface paint scratches (absolutely NO metal damage gurranted) and has been professional restored to the original paint condition. Conclusions After my additional expenditures of nearly $9500 for meticulous maintenance and new parts upgrades on this car, this Mercedes CL500 is in excellent running condition and fast acceleration without any noise, or just beautiful to look. This car will run another 75K miles with just oil and filter change. I felt very satisfied and mission completed. Mainly this car is totally worthwhile because the car has such low mileage (only 69k miles) for a 1999 car. In addition, I am the kind of guy who can not stand anything not running perfect. The price seems to be a little high, but if you consider the must-spent expenses which I put into the car and to keep a car in such top notch condition, then it seems to be reasonable for the price I ask; not to mention the time I put into the car. It is a rare car in excellent condition. Please don’t miss the opportunity to own this W140 Mercedes which is better built than the new S-class coupe. The exterior has a good original paint finish and doesn't exhibit any major issues. The interior is clean and all leathers are in like new condition with no abnormal wear appeared. The engine starts easily and the drivetrain performed smoothly. There are no issues with the steering, suspension or braking systems. Air conditioning works very well and cold, and it is a non-smoker car.
