1997 GMC Sierra SLT Truck was bought used and discovered that it had a thrown rod. Purchased a used 350 v-8 (unknown mileage) and installed. Truck ran well but developed what is believed to be a computer issue. Bought a used computer that had been reprogrammed and installed. This seemed to fix the problem for a while but problem reoccurred. Reinstalled the original box and the truck ran for a while but started having similar issues. Owner had purchased an additional vehicle in the meantime thus the truck has set for several months. Now the owner is relocating and needs to sell the vehicle. It is most definitely valuable for parts but with the right person is believed to be a vehicle that can be a regular driver again. Truck has no key and no battery currently. Vehicle is being sold "As Is," "Where Is." However, there may be options to get it delivered but those details will have to be worked out with the buyer. There are a few smaller dents and one a little more significant on the driver's side cab rear top. There are some tears in the upholstery. I am not 100% sure that the mileage is correct but the speedometer did work. I know that the mileage is not correct for the current motor.
