It was a one owner machine. No title, bill of sale only. Original condition. Built in 4/72. Frame # XL250-1024220. Engine # XL250SE-1024332. 750 Miles. The previous owner parked the bike in the late 1970s. He did tell me, when he did take it off road, he would take off the gauges and tail tail assembly so they would not get broken. So most likely has around 1,000 miles. Still the original tires! and show lots of tread left. In great condition for an Enduro bike from the 1970's. Looks to be complete. The gas tank was flushed, carb cleaned and a new battery. Fired right up like a honda should. No smoke. Shifts though all the gears with plenty of power. The RPM gauge does not work ( cable is broken inside) so will need a new Tach cable. Speedo/ horn works as it should. DID rims are straight, no dents. paint looks awesome, no fading. Front and rear fenders have no cracks. 2 spots of damage are.. The gas tank has a large indent on the right side, But should be able to pop out. And the small chain guard cover is broke ( see picture) . Seat has no rips. Pan looks great! no rotting. Exhaust is solid. The bike does have some rust here and there. The only issues I've noticed riding the bike, is sometimes when you turn the handle bars the clutch sometimes will dis engage, most likely a clutch adjustment. Overall a great original 1972 XL 250.
